  1. This has to be BS. We all have photographic proof that Woodbury's tiny arms could never reach up to Kaminsky's eye level. After all I saw this on HHC so it must be true. Kind of like Moses' plastic man legs.
  2. Deflate those balls and loosen those rims, boys, it's going to be an ugly ride.
  3. We are all just a tide bubble in a jacuzzi, but some of those bubbles shine!
  4. Al loved balloons and seashells and did tend to digress on occasion but always seemed to enjoy the game a the color man should do. And ,remember, he did coach Danny Nee for one year.
  5. I believe Vitale was at BDSC on at least one occasion when Terrance Badgett played.
  6. I do not believe this gentleman is a physician from Lincoln. Perhaps he comes from Omaha and uses the jersey to cover his sweater vest. He looks like Tom Crean to me.
  7. Thanks for the link GATA. I would rather look at Amelia's picture than Sipple's any day.
  8. As poorly as everyone has been shooting at the Pinnacle lately, I wonder if the refs are going to start checking for underinflation of the game balls now.
  9. dimes: This doesn't help since I don't make the live games now. Can someone describe him a bit more vividly i.e. fat, thin, bald, age, etc. I'm just curious since I probably would know him and am not going to "out" him online or anything. If he lurks here he can send me a message.
  10. Someone post a photo of this mysterious doctor. His eccentricities and proud wearing of an Amos Gregory shirt make me think that he may actually be Doctor Who.
  11. To wash the memory of this root canal from my mind I will substitute a loser avatar with a winner as Super Bowl approaches. Not sure whether the loser might make an encore when we go to Minnesota.
  12. I think everyone is missing the point on Eades' technical call. I'm sure it must have been paying homage to the original "Boomer", i.e. one Jim Baim. He was a Big 10 official during the '70's who always gave out a "boom" with every foul he called and was known as The Boomer. As is the case with every referee who is so egotistical as to think people come to games to watch them perform, he was absolutely terrible. If I am not mistaken, he was fired and banned from the Big 10 for some bad mistake he made in calling an Iowa game.
  13. I hope we do not see a lot of empty seats tonight because of the State of the Union address. Do you think it will be shown on the big screen?
  14. 49er: I thought everyone knew that cybermetrics were invented by cyborgs who are greatly superior to us humans, while sabermetrics were conceived by Bret Saberhagen while he was one of those burnt out aces, like Cone and Smoltz spending the downside of their careers on the Red Sox staff with nothing better to do.
  15. Who is the guy who looks like he has been photoshopped into the huddle? His hair looks to be a pale shade of green on my computer and he appears to be in some sort of trance. Just wondering.
  16. NU 68, Gophers 62 (I think Carl may be preparing a little surprise for them as we speak)
  17. The actuary sounds like an actuary, cwg sounds like someone who is not presently geeked, Norm sounds like a nitpicking lawyer, 49er sounds like he should join SOSH, and Silverback sounds like, well...silverback. Nevertheless, everyone must agree that any streak must begin with the outcome of tomorrow's contest. Let us just hope that the Gophers continue to pull their heads back into their holes when they are on the road.
  18. I'll start this thread since I have nothing more pressing to do and not much is going on at HHC at present. Lets' just say it would immediately be mercilessly critiqued by the "elite" patrons of a famous Red Sox site I lurk at called Son of Sam Horn and banned by the mods as worthless speculation without any cybermetrics. However, humor me here and reply if you wish. With LeVert now out for the year at Michigan, I can see us rolling in to the home rematch with Wiscy on a six game winning streak. I can just as easily visualize us on a six game skid by then, given the vicissitudes of the team this year. It will probably be somewhere in between, but feel free to express your own gut feeling if you think we are ready for either extreme. One thing I can state with certainty is that tomorrows' game will be the start of either streak if it should happen. And, if anyone cares, old Jimmy got to pose one of Ian Browne's mailbag questions in the official MLB Red Sox mailbag last week with my newfound time to waste on the internet.
  19. Norm: HB beat you to the Mondale ID by several minutes. And speaking of beat downs, how about that one Ronnie put on Mondale? I have a few more slam dunk Walters, but then a couple which may be stumpers left up my sleeve for the rest of the year.
  20. At least we did not experience a Missouri-Kentucky beat down which could truly demoralize a team. We should still be mentally able to pull this together for a couple of victories next week.
