Tonight hurts. But I refuse to say this season was a failure. So many good memories from this season. Let's do it again next year. 

Yes, that was one of my biggest memories from the Coliseum days.  My dad said to look at the floor sweepers, and I thought it was awesome.  

Was too young at the time to remember my exact first game - but would have been in the late 60's in the Colisseum.  Parent had season tickets.   Remember watching Leroy Chalk, Tom Scantlebury and Bob Grattop in those days.   Al Nissen too who is still in Lincoln I believe.

Mine was at the Coliseum also, but Jerry Fort was still in Junior High.   57 years ago in December.   Still remember it.  Tom Scantelbury was my hero.  

... in the old Coliseum. Joe Cipriano was the coach. Jerry Fort lost a contact lens and they stopped play for probably 5 minutes while people spread out on the floor looking for it. Never forget it.

After diving into the numbers just a bit more-- it wouldn't surprise me if Iowa State backdoors themselves into the last 1 seed should UNC lose to NCST here.
 
They have just 1 loss outside of Q1 and have beaten Houston 2/3 times including today's neutral site beatdown.

What do you mean - Wahl clearly pushed part of his body into Edey's arm.  You have to protect someone as fragile as Edey and call that foul on Wahl.

I’m mad.  I don’t handle losses well.  But I was just sitting here wracking my brain whether we’ve done enough for a 7 seed.  And then I had to smile.  I’m frickinf wondering if we did enough for a 7 seed.  Not whether we’d even get in or whether the NIT would take us.

Been a really fun season.   Can't let one bad half put a damper on it.   Not too high - not too low.   Just regroup and take of business next week.
 
Debating whether to even watch the game tomorrow.    Both teams easy to root against - no team to root for.  Only thing worse than a Wisconsin - Illinois final game would be one with Iowa.

Wanted to mention how many good minutes Diop gave us - he got really lost on defense only once, but he battled in there overall. And that little baseline jumper was pure. For someone who's played as little as he has, to be on that stage and look like he belonged against Illinois' front line was nice to see. It'll be a big offseason for him developmentally.
