The sequence where Griesel missed the free throw, Wilcher grabbed the rebound and immediately kicked the ball out of bounds pretty much sums up the Hoiberg era at Nebraska.
UAPB shooting regressed to the mean. Huskers contributed by putting more effort on arc d and Huskers started using Griesel in a pseudo Derrick Walker post-distributor role.
He's a clone of the Iowa/Illinois bench kids who has a career night against us a few times each season.
Literally he has more points against us in one half than in his entire career (5 games) at UAPB
One of the first lessons stressed in Nebraska coaching certification was that you should not be putting your players in unsafe competitive situations. When you play way above or below your "weight class" you aren't being fair to the athletes. Nebraska's problem is that we have B1G physiques, but lower division skills/execution.
If I were HCFH, after the first 2-3 minutes, I put the four most solid guys on the floor and have Sam run Curbelo and Posh off of 4 tooth rattling screens every time up the floor. I agree with a poster on the game thread, when a team plays that style the refs just seem to shrug and "let them play(cheat)"
