Daledangdarn reacted to Silverbacked1 in Pinnacle Bank Arena
My wife and I went down to the Haymarket with friends Saturday night, and my friend is all worried that we are building "too fast". I almost fell out of my chair. He kept saying were is everybody going to park? I said that there is like 3 parking garages going in. It was really unbelieveable.
I was down again last night and I am so happy to see all the work going on. They were still working at some places at 9:00 last night. These people really want their places ready for that first tip off or concert.
Parking sucks right now, but once all the parking garages are finished it will be much better.
Am so ready for this I can hardly stand it.

You missed the option which we now have in the Haymarket, vs. Devaney: Walk across the street and have a cold one or 2 vs. just waiting in a line of cars burning expensive fuel....

Daledangdarn reacted to Nebrasketballer in Nick Rogers 2015 PG
Yeah he's a stud. He and Jojo Anderson should both be highly ranked prospects. It is amazing how easy Rogers makes dunking look, considering he is only 6'0" tall. He is definitely athletic and would be very fun to watch in a Husker uniform.

Daledangdarn reacted to huskerbaseball13 in Husker hoops assistants make combined $636,000 - By Lee Barfknecht / Omaha World-Herald
I have to think the money we are spending on the staff has to be towards the top in the nation. The good news is that now nobody can say Nebraska doesn't care about basketball....with that money they are dumping in the program we are finally trying to build a winner.

Daledangdarn reacted to cipsucks in Tai Webster becomes Eligible!
Not really. They ended up buying some of our seasoning (which, by the way, is really good). I think the people in Columbia are still butt hurt over the 97 game and NU's invite to the B1G. Those shallow bastards can hold a grudge.......
-
Daledangdarn reacted to Creighton Fan in Is this the most unimpressive NBA draft ever?
He's a defensive stopper. Creighton never double teamed a center all year because Echenique could handle them all by himself. He even shut down Duke's big man... IF he gets drafted it will be because of his defense.

Yeah, I don't think he'll make it to the first.
You do understand that there are only two rounds, right?

You do understand I said that because I don't think he is getting drafted at all, right?

Daledangdarn reacted to trickey in Kenya Hunter Hired as New Asst.
Here is an different perspective from yahoo sports
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/nebraska-lures-kenya-hunter-georgetown-reinforcing-newfound-commitment-190650374.html
As to whether Hunter was forced out...
"Georgetown coach John Thompson III did not want to lose Hunter after fellow assistant Mike Brennan had already left earlier this spring to become the head coach at American University. Thompson hired Northwestern assistant Tavares Hardy to replace Brennan and tabbed Kevin Sutton to replace Hunter, with the caveat that Sutton would become director of basketball operations if Hunter decided to stay.
"People thought I got forced out or whatever, but that's not true," Hunter said. "Coach Thompson knew when I went on my visit to Nebraska last week that there was probably a great chance of me leaving, so it was a case of him being proactive and making sure he was covered if I was to leave. I think it's win-win. My experience as a coach and recruiter can help Nebraska and Georgetown is getting two guys who will continue the success they've had."
