Good talk about Arop on Sharpe & Benning this morning. Sipple was on for Sharpe. Sipple said Arop is a lock down defender and loves playing defense He compared him offensively to Shavon Shooting could improve He is going to play some AAU on a Chauncey Billups team so he can play with taller guys and thus play the 2 I found this interesting since I haven't read specifics about his game. Also, Mike Sautter was on and said while Arop and Chang are very close, he thinks if Chang keeps on improving he could become a blue-blood recruit.

The missed travel call was a huge missed call and an important point in the game. I can't remember the score, but I do know they scored on that possession. It happened in front of me and we noticed it when it happened. They showed the replay and he clearly drug his foot. We had our chances to win the game though and didn't.

What this tells me is Hammond will not start unless its for the opening tip. Our three and four will look the same on offense, and I could see Andrew White guarding the four on defense since he has more bulk than Shavon.

I was expecting/hoping for Isaiah Roby to make this list. Shouldn't we expect him to considering he was listed with Watson on an all state second team?

I am sad as well. Walt has talent I was excited to see him harness again next season. He gets bashed on here quite a bit and his play wasn't what this years team needed, but he has two things that Nebrasketball lacks recently, height and experience. I really liked Walt as a person. He was good with the kids while signing after the scrimmage and one other occasion. I wish him the nothing but the best.

Just as dissappointing to me is that we burned Hammond's redshirt and he still isn't ready to see the floor with both these guys out? I would think the coaches could coach him up up on defense (assuming thats where the problems in his play exist) and had given him a few minutes in these recent games. If he couldn't play the last 5 games how can we expect him to contribute with B1G play here?

You bring up a good point. That is one change from last year that is hard to judge but may be bigger than what we think.

Rosenthal said in his chat yesterday that he expects Deng to visit this month. There doesn't seem to much talk or urgency with the staff or Deng so would he be a silent commit? Rosenthal also stated that he has not talked to Deng personally.

I wanted to bump this to see if anyone has any new info on Deng. He was the recruit I was most intrigued by due to his skill set and what he could bring to next years team before the broken foot. With Sergej gone it frees up a scholley in the jr class, or if his recovery is slowed he redshirts and is in a smaller soph class. I think he would be worth the risk with more scholarships open. Also, it sounded like he was ours to lose early in the recruiting. Anyone have info to share?

I have a t-shirt that was given out to students leaving a game in the early-mid 90s when I was a student that has Nebrasketball in white letters on a red shirt. Still have it and still wear it with pride. I am sure it was in the Nee years. I have CRS syndrome, but believe the Nee and the Ne spellings were used around the same time.

Sure, they might have meant "Big Ten tournament", but I'll take a "game or two" in the NCAA tournament! Why do "experts" assume Nebraska needs to be perfect down the stretch???
