HuskerFever got a reaction from Bugeaters1 in 2024 NCAA Tourney
It was always about the dollar and never about the kids. Quite a shame that some of the largest sporting events in the world are now on cable-only platforms. Soon to be streaming-only.

HuskerFever got a reaction from AuroranHusker in The Cloud Nine Thread
Just had a run-in with the largest Dunkin' franchisee owner earlier today. I'm going to consider that, in connection with this post, a good omen for things to come with Nebraska basketball.

HuskerFever got a reaction from Montana_85 F in The Cloud Nine Thread
That Rock Bottom thread is burried deep, deep, into the interwebs right now. Let's not resurface that any time soon.
There were times we thought we hit rock bottom, when in reality there was more rock to dig. I'm going with the same theory here. We haven't reached Cloud Nine. But we're at a state of cloud nine that will soon get us to a grander state of cloud nine.
Yesterday, Fred won the national coach of the year award. Then Brice Williams and Juwan Gary publicly announced their commitment to the program. Then Keisei Tominaga won the internet and the 3-point shooting competition. What a day for Nebraska basketball. What a day.
Let this be your Cloud Nine safe space for those moments that just make you smile inside and outside about Nebraska basketball. I hope this thread gets resurfaced more than the rival one that's gotten a lot of miles of use over the years.

HuskerFever got a reaction from HuscurAdam in Keisei Tominaga to participate in NABC All-Star Game/3pt Contest
Not close to equivalent to the Tiger Woods shot where the ball stops and slowly turns over, the camera pans in, and Nike gets free advertising from its logo blasted all around the world.
But I'd like to think this was Tominaga giving us one last knod. Captivating the in-house crowd with his shooting, then captivating the TV crowd with his charisma, and then finally captivating the internet crowd with his pause, shot, no look, and then the camera captures it... "Nebraska" on the jersey.
Thank you, Keisei. You did it for the game. But you mean so much more to this program. 私たちはあなたを愛してます。

HuskerFever got a reaction from Handy Johnson in Fred Hoiberg Named Jim Phelan Coach of the Year
I'm still giddy about this. This gave me the feeling again about how successful of a season we had that just didn't quite result in a win we were looking for.
To the Alabama fan who saw this announcement and felt the need to tell me "The coach at Alabama should have gotten this award", seriously? You don't even know who Nate Oats is? Did you watch a single Alabama game before the NCAA tournament?
Many coaches earned their way into a nomination. Many. But I'm proud of Hoiberg and hoping this reinvigorates him, the team, and this fanbase to strive for even more. Buckle up.

And now it's just considered "trespassing" to sit in the basketball offices, and "Class I Misdemeanor" for running around the court from the police, and "creepy" to sit with the cheerleaders.
