This game is bound to end in the "what did you expect" category. But there's been some decent things to pick from this.

I do think we have to applaud our defensive effort post-COVID break. Even the games we lost by double digits. Wouldn't have been that close without the reinvigorated effort. We're making it tough on Illinois right now and their lack of shooting ability is showing.

It's almost like we flipped the script tonight and said "forget the defense and focus on scoring." It's nice and all to see some lights-out shooting, but giving up so many transition points and turnovers is just as good as shooting 30% or worse.
