    Coach Miles has every right to show interest in this job, it's a school with recent success and in a conference he's been successful in. I wouldn't hold it against him if he interviewed. He also has every right to get year 6 here at Nebraska and prove his worth. Whatever happens, i hope it's definite soon. Kinda a huge time for recruiting.

    Washut just tweeted an article saying UNM has reached out to Miles. First legitimate contact that I've seen.

    I snooped on the NM basketball message board to see if there was any real smoke here. Seems like guys like Dooley and Gottfried are in the mix.......there would be riots if Miles was picked over those guys. Lets spend our time on how were gonna replace Ed and Tai's minutes and how were gonna find a 3 point threat.

    Agree. I think this is the only way Miles is not Nebraska's coach next year, he will not be fired. New Mexico is a good job too - top 25 in attendance, easier conf to win in and they were a #3 seed in the 2010 tournament.

    Sounds like Dooley is lobbying for the gig. Hard to see them chose a coach whose one bad year away from being fired over a hot name like Dooley.

    Judging Eichorst when neither of his hires have had more than full two seasons is outrageous. Just like judging a coaches success after two seasons is down right stupid. That goes for any coach or AD, not just saying that to protect SE. Back to the topic at hand - what are the odds Copeland gets to play the full season next year? I think that is huge now.

    Regardless of what Ed did well and not well, we're gonna be a worse team without him - don't think there will be any argument there. Seeing as we've put out what seems like a dozen offers to Guards this week, I'm really hoping we have no more attrition.

    I mean his last men's basketball hire has been to 2 sweet 16's in his 6 years. I could think of worse fates.

    Iowa (14-9) with 4 games against NAIA teams on the schedule, played 0 top 25 teams, schedule has included Alabama State (x2), Moorehead State, Bucknell, Lehigh (x2), Villanova and Purdue (x3) and still have a RPI 40 spots higher than us. File that under things that piss me off every year.

    Thurman is a nice player, and could play here - but he doesn't play a position of need, Miles will look elsewhere.

    Almost gotta pull the plug on leaving Chad in for 1+ innings. Had a chance in the 8th to score as well.
