I hate to dwell on this, but he really F'd this team. 99% of getting a dub or two in the tournament is matchup. I highly doubt we get A&M if Trev doesn't do what he did. NW the past two seasons get overrated, ice cold, mid majors. We get a P5 team with a top 10 ceiling, playing their best ball. So thanks Trev, parting gift of a lifetime.

If we can cut down our time between trips it’ll happen. But man. Idk. Just so defeated tonight. If we don’t cut down our time between trips I may have 3-4 more chances but I know some don’t have that.I had this "if not now, then when" feeling tonight. Keisei got hot, we got up 7....then got steamrolled. I am beyond defeated. Creighton is good for a tournament win every year. NW has 2 in the last 2 years. Rutgers has a win in the last 3. Oakland, MI wins one. St Peters. FDU. At this point I'm ready to give in to the fact it'll never happen.

As a Cubs fan who finally experienced winning in 2016, I can say while it truly sucks having to deal with the eons of futility, when it finally happens, it’s so much sweeter than for those who never had to wait. Our time will come.
Ugh as a die hard Indians fan....I feel like it's never coming. That WS broke my heart and I feel the same way tonight. IDK, trying to find a silver lining but can't. I am proud of this team, but feels like no matter what we will always run into a buzzsaw.

Posted this on another board...reasons I'm pleased with this matchup.
1. There are 2 at-large teams with 14+ losses. We're playing one.
2. SEC tends to underperform relative to seed, since COVID only Arkansas has been past the Sweet 16 despite 8 top 4 seeds.
3. Buzz is 1-3 in round 1, Fred is 3-1 in round 1.

How’s it going for you? I’ve been doing everything I can to distract myself this week, including TRYING to stay off of here, but it’s creeping in now. It’s really creeping in, and I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep now.
It's 11:00PM and I'm on here....
Honestly, it's a super weird feeling. I've been so accustom to Thurs/Fri of the 1st round being 2 days of carefree basketball watching. Having something on the line is foreign.

I think we’re on the 7 line tomorrow. With a thank you to KSU and Duquesne for the strong finishes and making our non con wins pretty damn decent.

Probably an unpopular opinion but feel like Trev is a little soft with this move. Trev did a great job, and has legit gripes with university leadership, but let's not act like A&M is the standard of stability - their last president resigned due to political controversy less than a year ago. Trev was very well rewarded financially for his performance (top 10 nationally), had the freedom to do awesome stuff (renovations, vball day, ect), and up until 3 months ago was under an amazing school president. This president search seems to be not great, but at the first sign of rough waters (mind you no large university system is immune to these) and you abandon ship? Doesn't sit well with me.

Officiating was straight garbage. OSU also played very well. Love him/hate him, Battle is a baller. This is what makes the B1G so tough, OSU is so talented they fired their coach and woke up the next morning and had a Top 25 Team. They're tied for 12th in the conf right now BTW.

He extended his arm to push the guy off like 5 times in this game
They got all the whistles in the paint, and all the offensive whistles. Really changes the game when you let one team be the aggressor on both sides of the floor.

Probably wouldn't have won, but this reffing was absolute dogshit.

I’m just sitting here drinking a beer soaking it all in. Recency bias, and I don’t remember much of the Nee era - but this might be my favorite Nebrasketball group ever.

do you know what happened?
I've watched the whole series so far. This GCU team is the biggest collection of pricks I've ever seen on a ball field. Will asked the umps to nip it, they didn't and it eventually crossed a line. Pitchers directly shouting at our guys. 3rd baseman made a nice play then started doing push ups. Hope we win today.

You could make a 15 min highlight video of Tomi getting absolutely mugged and not getting a call just this season alone - and send it to the league office.

To piggy back on that he brought his starting PG Daniss Jenkins from Iona had he's had the job from day one. If Jenkins comes back for his extra covid year, he's likely to have the starting job again. Otherwise if you cut through all the Pitino bluster he is a defensive coach and it's also likely that Wilcher isn't elite enough defensively to make up for his lack of experience.
Isn't this Jenkins COVID Year? 2 at Pacific, 1 at Juco, 1 at Iona, 1 at St. Johns.

Ugh TCU buzzer beater at KSU was a double whammy.

As we’ve moved to the later part of the season, I’ve been more nervous with each game. There’s way more on the line with every game now. Especially with the slip ups early.I get being nervous. This is a must win. 8-15 (3-9) Michigan, without their best player, at home. Lose this one and our NCAA chances are on life support.

Sure, the 5 years is part of it, but B.S. still had to do it. No one handed him anything. Kid's a good, heady player.
Yeah incredible player. Still hope they lose every time out!

Feels like 0-10 on the road would be way too big of a black eye. Gotta get 1. Can't give the committee a viable reason to leave us home.

I posted this 6 days ago in the Wisconsin thread... but it still rings true today. So maybe it'll work again tonight.
I've said it multiple times... there is NO reason this team shouldn't dance THIS year and if we don't I won't be happy with where the program is at. Losing this one isn't going to knock us out, but it means we're going to have to be better than we have been on the road down the stretch. It doesn't get any easier Sunday either.
The games we've squandered early against Rutgers and Minny are looming large the deeper into the season we go.I can’t fight the feeling we’re just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Every time I lose the feeling for a second we do something to remind me why I worry.

Double digit loss would have us in a pretty uncomfortable place. Some must win games ahead now.

My buddy and I were watching in disbelief. We get an A&M team that can’t miss a 3, Creighton needs Oregon to miss a FT to extended their season and gets it. We are soooo over due in the luck factor.
