Didn't he sing achy breaky heart and produce a talentless daughter?

That's a lot of money to finish middle of the pack in the Big 12 and then flame out in the NCAA tourney.
Or, one could say, their worst team since 1989 still managed to win an NCAA tournament game.

Y'all are slipping if I'm the first one to put this news in here:
...so two of the Big Ten newbies are going to be coming in with new coaches.
11 seasons, 5 tournaments, 3 first round exits, 1 second round exit, 1 regional final; went to USC after a tournament run at Florida Gulf Coast.
The most similar hire this year was Dusty May to Michigan.

Why do I have a sinking feeling that Sam H will be the only returner from this year's rotation.
Because, it is likely that if one of the three seniors go - the other two will also go.
I wouldn't say it's likely that any of them go, though.

Dain Dainja just entered from Illinois. Could be an upgrade from Kieta???
Derrick Walker's worst game of his senior year was against Dainja, DW couldn't get anything done against him.

The dude from Rutgers with the goggles
In my opinion, he needs to go to Indiana State and team up with Robbie Avila. Could make them a Final Four team.

Earlier this month Dartmouth men's basketball voted to unionize. That's where this is headed. It'll take a few years, but collective bargaining agreements and salary caps are definite possibilities. However, I think before that happens, the big boys pull out of the NCAA, make their own rules and life will be really interesting.
Which means no NCAA tournament, which means Nebraska only has a finite amount of time to win a game before it's replaced with something else.

I am so in favor of giving everyone a 5th year. I might have mentioned that. They could make it an easy rule to pass; if you graduate on time you get an extra year.
Of course, once we go down the road where the players are considered to be university employees, how long until somebody asks "why do we only have so many years of eligibility now in the first place?"

Grant Nelson (Summit League) for Alabama, Baylor Scheierman (Summit League) and Dalton Knecht (Big Sky League) for Tennessee have been stars for their NCAA teams after transferring. I have to wonder whether they would have been able to develop their present skills as fully sitting on the bench for a couple of years at their present schools had they started there originally. It seems that the way to success in today's system is being able to spot the upcoming Mid and lower major talent early and harvesting them first. Are coaches able to approach this potential well of talent before they declare for the portal, i.e. poach them, or is it breaking some rule?
They are all also taking advantage of a fifth season of playing due to the extra year of eligibility. The extra year of development makes a much bigger difference for some than for others.

He is sort of fragile given his medical history; but you know what, I would take him.
Iowa might have a good scout assessment on him...

Color me skeptical. Extremely skeptical. That one year of language barrier would also be the covid year, which didn't count anyway. He's played 5 years of college basketball. No injuries. No partial seasons. He's going to move on.
The covid year was his second year, otherwise all these points are vaild.

Saw him in the Omaha bracket. He's got a lot of bounce. I'd take him in Lincoln, stat!
When I watched the 2OT Bellevue West - Creighton Prep game four years ago, I thought Luke Jurgens was better than William Kyle.
Needless to say, it's a good thing I am not a talent evaluator.

This is reminding me of when we played New Mexico State in the NCAA Tourney in ‘93. We were scoring, Pike had 29. But NMS was getting whatever they wanted on offense.
Somewhere, the screams of Cliff Reed as he grabbed all those offensive rebounds are still echoing.
