What is ironic is that MJ was the loudest critic of White last year after he transferred.

And we want to fire the one guy who got us there in the last 20 years.

I thought Ruffcorn was the strength coach.  I think Rudoph is an athletic trainer.

Okay so maybe we are finding out that this isn't all on Tim?

And I ask only because of what is leaking out about these kids wanting to play this or that.

Don't care either way it just kind of seems like the inmates trying to run the jail maybe?

If that's true that tells you the nature of the problem.  If Miles hadn't told him to stop shooting 3s he wouldn't be a basketball coach.   That's the whole point of coaching.  If we need to just let guys do what they want to do, even if you suck  at it, just go play at the rec center.   Give me a break.

    NICK FULLER

Everyone who is concerned about a bad culture within the program is counting him among the numbers of players transferring but why is nobody mentioning his name?

Was he not a lunch pail kind of guy?

    Was he not unselfish?

What do all of you concerned fans have against Nick?

Do you not care that he left the program, too?

Umm, one of those leaving may have had a bit of an ego problem IF the reason he chose to leave is accurate.  But hey, the dude is gone, we turn the page and pray we get better players.  Right?

He may be right about guys leaving, but looking at the number of guys leaving programs it's hard to think it is an issue only in Lincoln.

Almost every NCAA College basketball program must have cultural problems given the unbelievable number of player transfers.  This is crazy.

Hooper, not doubting your sources about MJ, but would you like to share with all of us your motive for leaking his transfer in a a public venue, just hours before it's supposedly going to be announced?  Yeah, I know, it's a message board.  But why not give the player the courtesy of announcing his intentions on his own terms?

Sad thing is... unless you are getting it your way and exactly what you want... you are unhappy and transfer.  KU, Duke, ect. have transfers as well, so winning doesn't just solve a transfer problem.

Not saying something on the inside might not be going on, but it isn't a Nebraska culture problem... it is a NATIONAL culture problem.  I do not care how pissed you are, I do not care how much you think you know more than the coach.  If you quit on the staff and the program... then you quit on yourself.  Have some damn pride!

I could give a damn right now about Miles.  The culture problem is a national issue that lies in these kids.  If we were winning and we had these transfers, it would be a different story, and as you see from multiple examples already this year... winning does not solve the transfer problem.

This is part of the issue i have. If SE did a little bit of digging, he could have seen this coming.... If keeping Miles because of all the talent was the main reason, well after MJ and GW leave like the rumors say they will, then what?

    SE sucks.

    1.   College coaches feeding kids lines of shit when recruiting them
    2.   Societal norm these days
    3.   Cable/internet exposure for lesser known (I.e. Mid-majors) schools
    4.   NCAA rules with grad transfers

Not just a Husker fan.  Fans of 18-22 year olds who only care about their perceived self interest.  Transfer epidemic everywhere.  Team is no more.  Paying to watch individuals always wanting to get there's.  Probably going to do that less in the future, and with less zeal.

We need to get back to the day when Coaches made personnel and position decisions and not players and parents.  Team before self or am I being too old fashioned?

Any dreams of hosting a regional, require us to take 2 out of 3 this weekend.  Might even need a sweep.

Warren Nolan has us going 14-9-1 in conference, for an RPI of 48.  That would not be good enough to host.  Need to win the remaining non-conference games (4-0)

    Our remaining conference series

    Maryland (2 of 3 min)
    Iowa (2 of 3 min)
    @ Minnesota (1 of 3 min)
    @ Ohio State (2 of 3 min)
    Rutgers (must sweep)
Michigan State (2 of 3 min)
    @ Penn State (must sweep)

That would put us at 36-16-1.  A couple wins in the Big 10 tournament, to get to 38 might be enough to get a regional host.

This could almost be my own Grandpas on my Dad's side theme song.

Growing wild as a March hare in Southern Illinois.  He got my Grandma pragent when he was 21 and she was 16, so his wedding day would have been sweaty.  They didn't tell anybody for a month till Grandma started to show. Stayed married for 62 years.  He was drafted into WWII at 30 years old.  Was just a mechanic but if he hadn't hurt his back and had to stay in Florida when the rest of the camp shipped out to Omaha Beach.  He and the other 6 guys who were hurt and didn't go.  If you don't count them then there was only like 24 GI's that made it from that camp of 600.  So I most likely would not have ever met my Grandpa.  My Dad was 9 when he was drafted so I still would have been here.
