Concrete reacted to HuskerActuary in Favorite Nebrasketball Moments
Can't believe we are two posts in and No Sit Sunday hasn't been mentioned. I'm guessing that's near the top of most people's lists.

Concrete reacted to nustudent in My guess is Miles will be fired this weekend
Yeah, I'd prefer to hire the right guy to begin with

That and it isn't a good long term approach

Concrete reacted to Hooper in Crying time is over
Happy players rarely transfer. I don't know why so many insist on blaming external factors for disgruntled players when the evidence of a culture problem within the program continues to mount.
The players clearly quit on this staff down the stretch and are now quitting on the program itself. Enough is enough. At what point is Miles culpable to you guys?

Actually, I don't think the crying time is over. I suspect there will be a renewed burst over the next few hours.

Concrete got a reaction from Swan Ronson in 2018 SG Aguek Arop -> San Diego St
How many of those players started for major conference teams? Also I feel like you're including Deverell Biggs and Akoy Agau in that list, which is also a JOKE
I can't believe people are worked up over this.
A) We aren't a charity, players have to develop and continue to earn their scholarship throughout high school and college.
In state talent also rarely works out. Mike Gessel is basically the only in state player to make any sort of impact at a major conference school the last 10 years, and that impact was 8ppg on less than 40% shooting. Wow, incredible.
C) Miles doesn't need to recruit Omaha to be successful. He needs to get the best players regardless of where they're from. If we start winning, local coaches will forget about this and want their players to play for him.

I think Robin Washut does a great job and better job on giving info via twitter and his radio interviews.

AW3 is one of the most solid players we've had in a long time, I honestly have no idea how anyone could bitch about his game at all.

Concrete reacted to Kent Pavelka in Andrew
Andrew is one of the most personable, mature, down-to-earth NU players, football or basketball, I've had the pleasure to know. That takes in a lot of years and a lot of players. He's an exceptional person, on and off the court.

Concrete got a reaction from Buglem in 2015 F Jack McVeigh - Signed
I don't know why people think we don't need help on the wing, we need shooters almost as badly as bigs. If McVeigh is half the shooter people say he is, he will be a great addition next season.

Concrete reacted to ShortDust in 2015 PG Glynn Watson - Signed
You have to have the battle for minutes. Means there is a lot of competition. May the best man earn his minutes. If we have players leaving because we are landing top 100 talent then I think we are in good shape.

New to the board. Nothing better for my first post than to say I hate Creighton with all my heart and guts.

Glad Watson is visiting Creighton during a Nebraska home game. Hopefully he sees all of the Nebraska flags around Omaha and realizes who the state really supports.
