Nebraska will need to play their best game of the season to win this one.

Does anyone think Vucetic could be on the same path as Eliason in terms of what they are contributing? Doc's prized recruit seems to be doing very well for Wright State. 9 minutes per game. Wow. Doc was booted just in time. I know Standhardinger wasn't the best citizen while he was here, but he is the player I would like to see most on this team right now.

it is painful watching Peltz eat up minutes knowing Biggs could be out there. The only way Biggs will start next year is if NU goes with 3 small guards in the lineup. That may very well happen if Nebraska does not get Atewe or any other big men. I think Webster, pitchford, and Gallegos are the only 3 guaranteed to start next year.

I thought it was well known that Miles made it public that he wanted Biggs to play this year but would honor whatever decision Biggs made.

I'm not so sure Miles would have brought in Biggs if he had known that Biggs wanted to redshirt this year and that NU would not be getting Agau. There's a reason Miles picked up Peltz about 3 weeks before the season and that is because Biggs surprised Miles when he told him that he still wanted to redshirt even though Agau was not coming to NU, and Miles had to scramble for an extra pg. Miles had to assume that Biggs would see that he would basically be guaranteed a starting spot if he played this year and never thought Biggs would want to redshirt. Miles was a nice guy and honored Biggs wish to redshirt. Biggs would be playing 30 minutes a game this year and would of set himself up to have a huge year next year. Now he is going to have 2 full years off from basketball and no D1 experience.

Based on what I know and have heard... Petteway is David Rivers version 1.0001. They are both raw and not the greatest of shooters. Rivers might be slightly taller, but Petteway is a little better athlete. Pitchford has the most potential. He is a big man who can shoot and is a great athlete. I can't see biggs playing a ton of minutes with all the guards this team is going to have next year. Fuller and Webster will make an impact right away, but I am not sure about Hawkins.

It looks like NU fans are going to have to give Atewe the Webster treatment when he gets here jan. 6 for the Wisconsin game. I take this as good news that Miles is finding a lot of under the radar guys.

It will be a tough game to win for sure. They have just as many playmakers as Creighton, if not more. Nearly 6 players that are averaging over 10 points. They score a lot of points as a team. About 80 per game so far. If there were Runzas in Oregon, they would be giving out a lot of them.

Early lineup prediction for next year: pg Webster sg Gallegos sf Petteway pf Fuller C Pitchford Bench: guards- Parker, biggs, hawkins wings- Rivers Shields Center- Vucetic, Atewe. There will be 4 small forwards on the team next year with Shields, Fuller, Petteway, and Rivers. I think that is going to force NU to have to start a small forward at power forward and go with a small lineup. I think Fuller will start at PF because I think he will be the tallest and most skilled of all our small forwards. Nebraska's team is going to be completely different next year. They should be able to get a lot more fast breaks and play at a faster tempo. I don't know how that will work in the B1G, but that is how the team is going to be built next year. Matthew Atewe and Aram Martin are the only 2 I know of that Nebraska might try to add for 2013 as of now. I doubt Atewe would start as a freshman and Martin would probably redshirt.

Just curious why people think McDermott won't go pro after this season? He has a lot of reasons to leave after this year: - Echenique, Gibbs, and jones are gone next year. - He is already being projected as a mid to late 1st rounder. - He is a pre-season all american/POY candidate - I don't see him improving his draft status much if he stays next year. I don't think anyone would use a lottery pick on him. The only reason I could see him staying is because his dad is the coach.

I think McDermott will go pro after this year. Eschenique, Gibbs, and Jones will all graduate, so I could see Doug leaving too. He's been projected by many sources as a mid to late 1st round pick. I'm not sure Doug's game will translate to the NBA though. Kind of like Adam Morrison. Doug has a better post game than Morrison, but I'm not sure he is strong/athletic enough to play in the post in the nba.

I think everyone wishes this game would not have been televised in any form.

I can't see Nebraska having too many games where they play this bad.

I'm not sure Creighton is even playing their A game. I would say they are at B right now. Nebraska is playing their D+ at best.

This is probably the worst NU has played, and they are only down 11 to the 16th team in the country.
