This guy seems like a must get then if he can play right away.

I'm guessing Sterup is now closer to 300 than 260. There are 6 guys as of now, possibly 7 or 8 coming in next year that can play. We just have to be patient.

Would he have to sit out next year and would he then be a redshirt junior? I'm ok with bringing in guys that have to sit out next year because I think the 2014-15 season will be where things really start to turn around.

I'm still glad he left because of the way he carried himself on the floor. The reason for people wanting him gone never really had to do with his talent level. Any somewhat average D1 player would be helping this team, but we have a new coach and are building for the future. I think Keith Coleman, Cory Hilliard, Fahro, and Young would of helped somewhat, but this season is not what we brought Miles in for. This season was a lost cause before it started, so it would just upset me more if I had to watch Diaz out there not making any hustle plays. This would of been Diaz's last year anyways. How many more games does this team win with Diaz? 1 in the non con and maybe 2 more in the B1G. Diaz last year- 8.6 pts. 4.3 rebounds in 27 minutes. Andre this year- 7.6 pts 4.5 rebounds in 18.3 minutes. Andre was much better than Diaz but never got in shape and now might be paying the price for it. I'm not going miss the days of Andre and Diaz in the post. They are two post players that are very frustrating in different ways.

Who would of thought the 330 pound center that missed all of last season would get hurt this year? It's good thing we gave Peltz 20 min a game in the non-con and zero minutes to Sergej. Sergej is 7'1. If he has any kind of basketball skill, he should be playing regardless of his weight. Keep in mind Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Providence, Nevada, and Rhode Island all offered Sergej.

These are all Sadler players except for Sergej who was all we could get on short notice.

I hate to say it, but I think OSU will play about 5x better in the second half.

We are certainly overmatched talent wise...but we went zone and are hanging in there. zone is hurting our defensive rebounding though.

Nebraska came out shooting cold. Talley is attacking the rim and Ray has just knocked down 2 threes. 8 point game. Not rebounding well.

Serious question. Is Andre in the big lineup? For some reason I was thinking that The big lineup consisted of Rivers and Shields in the lineup instead of Andre and Parker. It should not be called the big lineup if andre is not in it. Miles said you'd see Andre in the big lineup. I hope he's got the stamina to play 22 plus minutes..... Play him 3 minutes then bench him 2 minutes. that would give him 24 minutes a game.

Can you name a single player on our roster that would fit this description? Possibly Gallegos if he were to have one of his scoring binges that seem to happen every other game.

NOOOOOOOO. How are we going to replace his 1.2 Points per game. Now we are going to lose by 31 points instead of 30. Just kidding. Peltz has played hard, but I can't say he would make a difference in the outcome of this game. We need all our scholarship guys to have great games just to stay in this one. Best thing about a blowout would be to get to see a Sergej sighting. It would be nice to know if our 7'1 center has anything to offer in the future whatsoever.

I think he's gone. Miles wouldn't even play him in the blowouts against oregon and creighton. I don't see Sergej being able to play in an uptempo offense, and I think that is the kind of offense NU is going to have the next couple years. Atewe will be more athletic and able to run the floor. --Atewe Visits NU a week from today.

Miles said the team's goal for non-con was 10 wins. I'd be curious to find out what the goal is for conference play.
