Anyone else liking the idea of Shields and Fuller playing the forward spots with Pitchford at Center? Webster and Gallegos as guards. That's what i'd like to see assuming we don't land a Power Foward that can contribute right away.

I know, but he should at least visit some other big schools. UNC-Charlotte did not make sense to me. As a guy, if girls were hitting on you left and right, wouldnt you want to listen to all offers before you make your choice? It's fine if it is not an official visit. I thought it was.

This team wasn't making post season regardless. Now we get Parker, Shields, vucetic some more experience.

It won't make a huge difference either way. I just know more recruits prefer Nike over Adidas.

Not silly to me. I have seen future recruits twitter pages. 99% post pictures of and talk about Nike/Jordan shoes.

So does Eichorst make the decision on this then? I'm guessing Bo's reason for wanting Nike is to stand out as much as possible from Wisconsin. I don't see Wisconsin switching any time soon with Alvarez around.

Nebraska has one of the most profitable football programs, so I would think Nike would want to sponsor as many sports as NU would want them too. I feel like NU fans already have enough NU adidas gear and would welcome a change to Nike or Under Armour. I hope it is true that Bo is pushing Nike. I would be curious to get Miles thoughts on Adidas and Nike since he had Nike at CSU.

I would also be fine with Under Armour. Adidas has no creativity in my opinion.

The thing with Oregon is that didn't the guy who owns it or started Nike graduate from Oregon? something like that, but I think Nike has made some great alternate uniforms for other schools as well. The majority of high school kids are wearing Nike clothing and shoes for basketball. The only kids wearing Adidas are ones that are big derek rose fans.

Serious question: Do you think Oregon would be where they are without Nike? I am positive that at least a few recruits gave Oregon a much harder look because of their Nike products. Nike makes superior shoes for basketball in my opinion. Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron all are with Nike. Most basketball players are sneakerheads because they have been buying basketball shoes since they started playing the game. Adidas is not known for their basketball shoes. Nike has the Jordan brand along with much better basketball players as sponsors. I also think Nike makes better alternate uniforms than Adidas, so I would want Nike for that reason too now that Nebraska has entered the alternate uniform game. I think Nike would help separate Nebraska from Wisconsin.

i agree. lots of talent there. he'll be a good one before it's all done. I agree...every year he's going to continue to develop, in 2-3 more years he could be a major stud on this team. Has been very impressive. This was only his 8th or 9th game of the season that he has played i think. He and Gallegos should be the only starters next year from the current roster.

I'm starting to feel like we need more guys in the Kevin Thomas mold (6'8, can jump, shoot, and drive to the hoop). The thought of bringing in a raw offensive player like Atewe scares me. I feel like defense is not the real issue with this team. Also, Atewe is only 1 inch taller and 20 lbs heavier than Thomas, so it is not like he is going to be that much more of a presence defensively. This team would be scary athletic with thomas and pitchford as the big men. There is room for both Thomas and Atewe though, so I hope NU finds a way to get both. It'd be nice to be able to start thomas and pitchford for a couple years then bring in a polished Vooch and Atewe after Thomas and Pitchford leave. This vid is very impressive and is 2 1/2 years old. I assume he has put at least some muscle on since this vid. I really hope we offer him soon because oregon and washington st are the only real competition. We need immediate help at the power forward position to complement the talented guards coming in. Atewe probably has higher upside, but i am not sure we can afford to only bring in Atewe and have another losing season next year. We need a guy like Thomas that can help right away. Like I said earlier though, we have room for both.

Is it fair to say the worst thing miles has done as a coach so far is bring in a project like Vucetic to a team that badly needs another scholarship player to play minutes? There can't be too many D1 players in the country who couldn't play a few minutes a game on this NU team.

There just isn't enough talent or depth on this team. No reason to blame anything else. I am impressed with what Miles has done with the players on this team and his recruiting. The biggest issue I have with Miles was bringing in a project like Vucetic knowing there is no depth on this team. One more solid contributor on this team would of helped a lot this year. Parker, Andre, and Rivers are seeing a lot more minutes than they would on a team with a lot of depth.
