Eilason is physical, but has no offensive game and isn't the most coordinated guy.

Oregon has 4 seniors and only 3 basketball commits so I'm not quite sure how they are done. They are still looking for a couple players actually. If youre using Rivals as a database they have 2 players on their commit list that are actually football players but because they are in the Rivals database for both sports they put them under both. The Robinsons are 4* football players and 3* hoopers. didn't realize they had 3 football players playing basketball. That's pretty crazy. It's going to be tough to get everyone minutes on their team when you basically have 3 extra scholarship players that don't count towards the limit.

I would say there is a chance of Sergej leaving which would leave us with Pitchford as our only scholarship big. Oregon has 3 scholarship bigs that are freshman right now with a 4 star PF coming in.

Oregon has filled their recruiting class, so NU would just have to beat out Washington St, St. Bonaventure, and Marshall to get Thomas.

Tim Miles can dunk though.

We've never lost a game at Haymarket arena though. I think that's why NU is moving there.

I thought someone in another thread said NU was considering Under Armour. I would prefer Nike, But I'm getting pretty sick of Adidas too. I think NU has to renew the contract soon or go with someone else.

We wouldn't have him visit if we don't offer him right? What would be the hold up be in offering him? I would assume it can't be because Miles is waiting on Atewe. We already know he won't make his decision until march.

I'm hoping we can get both. Thomas and Atewe are pretty different players, so it would be strange to go after only one or the other. not to mention one is a juco and one is not. Thomas is listed at 6'9 now. I think adding him would really help our chances of making the tournament the next 2 years. PItchford and Thomas on the floor at the same time would be tough to guard. Also, Thomas had 12 pts, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks in the game that Miles went to. His team is 21-1.

The season has been about what everyone expected. I could see us struggling a bit next year. Year 3 or 4 is where things should really turn around.

Don't forget ill beat ohio state by 19, and we lost to ohio state by 26.

Lots of guys dont do well as freshmen that go on to have big careers. Jared Berggren at Wisconsin averaged 1.2 and 2.4 points his first two years before blowing up last season. Some guys need an adjustment period from being the man to being a team player. They also have to adjust to strength and a tougher daily schedule. I think with a grooming year for Petteway and Pitchford i think you will see much better products than they were as freshmen elsewhere. Yea. I just didn't think it made sense to move our leading scorer (Gallegos) to the bench in favor of Petteway.

Neither did Pitchford, for that matter and Webster has even less experience at this level than either of those two. The best five will work itself out. We've even see that happen this season. As the season has progressed, the best five, as health has allowed, have found their way onto the floor. The rotation will start big and contract and work itself down by the time we get to conference play. By then, we should know who the best five are and that's who will start. Pitchford played on a much better team than Petteway, and Pitchford had a lot better college offers than Petteway. I'm not saying Petteway won't start, but I don't think you can put him ahead of Fuller and Rivers right now. Webster scored 21 points in 24 minutes in an olympic qualifier game at age 17. I would say that is enough to put him ahead of Biggs and Parker.

I don't see Atewe as a starter in his freshman year. I also don't know why Petteway would start over Gallegos, Rivers, Fuller. He did not do much at Texas Tech. Webster, Gallegos, Shields, and Pitchford seem like locks to start next year. There will be a battle for that last forward spot between petteway, fuller, and rivers. I'm pretty high on Fuller, so I could see him starting next year. Biggs, Petteway, Hawkins, Rivers, Atewe, Vucetic, Parker is a solid bench though.
