All of the Creighton fans I know think that he did no wrong and everything was overblown.  

Do I personally think he is a racist?  No I don’t.  Do I think he was an idiot for what he said?  Yes I do.
 
Do I think he should have been fired? Probably not at that time.  Do I think he should have received a longer suspension to make a point in today’s world?  Probably.
 
Am I enjoying the fallout from his idiotic comment?  Most definitely!

So, only three of the top 20-rated recruits in the last 21 years (per their high school recruiting rankings) were brought in by someone not named Tim Miles or Fred Hoiberg.
 
In three recruiting classes, Hoiberg has accounted for six of the top 10 and 8 of the top 20-ranked recruits (based on high school rankings) since the turn of the century.
 
Four of the top 10 will be freshmen on next year's Husker basketball team. That's the big stat. Four of the top 10 will be freshmen next season.

Wow.  Indiana is gonna be pretty good.. 

I feel the same way about Kobe. Have seen a lot of comments implying Kobe should be getting mop up minutes next year if we want to be competitive. Zoom out for a minute and pretend these highlights were of an incoming transfer for next year. A guy coming from a Power 5 conference. He’s small, but has a lightning quick, repeatable release so he has no trouble getting his shot off. Great handles, lateral quickness and knows how to create separation. Shoots it equally well off the catch and the dribble. NBA range, 38% from three and can put it on the floor and make tough, contested mid-range jumpers and floaters. Seems to be a perfect fit in our offensive system. Shoot, this guy’s highlights are just as good, if not better, than any other transfer we’ve gotten under Hoiberg. He also brings a TON of experience. I’ve got to believe a 5th year senior with his production and skillset could see some solid PT next year. 
 
 

We have had a ton of good news the last few weeks but we probably need to all pump the brakes a bit on expectations.
 
While I have been among the many who have been blown away by what we've somehow managed to put together during this off season, it should be noted ...
 
We will still be VERY YOUNG next year. They don't say "get old and stay old" to succeed in basketball for nothing.
 
Sure, most of those freshmen will be "seasoned freshmen." But given the relative inexperience of the roster overall, it's probably best to assume we're still a year away.
 
We should be a lot better in year 3 than we were in year 2, but we could improve a ton year over year this coming season and still not be very good.
