    Eli Rice to Penn State...

Which is a big... "Uhmmmm, ok?" to me. Makes me feel like he was pushed out here or something. Feel like any opportunity he'll have at Penn State he would have had here. Is he closer to home now or something?

Im shocked by that move...  Really odd.  He is from Nashville so doesnt seem much closer to home to me.  Don't believe Fred pushed him out after constantly praising him throughout the season last year.

Worster averaged 9.9 points, 5.5 assists, 4.9 rebounds this year for Utah and didn't play after January 11 due to injury. He had a 2.9 A:TO ratio last year. He's not a great 3pt shooter (29% career) but he is a 78% FT shooter.

Utah was 12-4 with Worster and was 10-11 without him this season. While he is not a great shooter, it would appear his best strength is running an offense and contributes all around (some scoring, play making, rebounding).

One thing to note: we played Utah in our closed scrimmage last fall so Fred and staff have obviously gotten to see Worster play against our guys.

pairing him with Ulis would be solid IMO

Maybe Fidler can bring Chucky with him. Fidler, Chucky, Kyle, Griffiths sounds good to me.

Boy that would be quite the haul..

If Fidler was to come that would put us at 6 seniors next year I believe..  I know the transfer portal age is different but anyone else a bit concerned with having that many seniors...??

  4. I really thought Lance Jones would of had a bigger impact last night.  He scored those 3 early points and then nothing.  I know he was in foul trouble that 1st half but 23 minutes seems way to low for him.  Painter was playing that #5 in 2nd half which seemed odd to me because i don't think id seen him play before.  Maybe he played him for defensive purposes but Jones is usually a great defender and can hit the 3 also.  They definitely needed to make more than one 3 pointer like brfrad  said.

OK, guys, hear me out here:

I know that you can't do the "what if" stuff and it works both ways, BUT ...

In the first half, they waived off a Keisei bucket and clearly incorrectly called him for travelling. Count that basket. Now, we're only down 12 at half.

In addition, Josiah Allick missed 5 layups in the first half. Point blank. If he makes just 3 of those, now we're only down six.

For the game, they shot an unbelievable 13 of 23 (56.5%) from beyond the arc. Let's say they just shoot a torrid 40%, which is still 12% better than their average and 5% better than they shot against Houston. That's 9 of 23. That's 12 points difference. Maybe they get a couple of offensive rebounds off those misses and get 2-point put-backs. That's still 8 fewer points on their end.

So, instead of losing 83-98, that puts it at 91-90, good guys on top.

My point is we weren't as bad as the final score made us look AND the game really came down to them being way uncharacteristically hot from deep.

And to add to this point, that same team, shooting a more ordinary 35% from deep, just took a #1 seed to OT.

    That's who we lost to.

Wow  had no idea it was 5 layups..  i was thinking 2-3.  Was he a little too over amped maybe..

You can eliminate NIL as a reason for him leaving. We're competitive, except with the big boys, and why would they want him?

He either wants to play more or he wants to go someplace closer to home. Or he knows a volleyball player.

I blame RED WAY, from just outside Nashville and was pretty easy for him to catch a flight out of Lincoln to Nashville back when Red Way was available.

Hot take as I would be shocked( or things are going very poorly) if frager is a back end of the rotation guy as a freshman.

I also thought from the minutes he got in close games that rice would be a dude for us in coming years though

YA no way Frager is better than rice

I thought it was odd he didn’t play late in the season. I also thought Lloyd should have played at least some this year. Blaise is another head scratcher. He didn’t play at all this year. Didn’t he warm up with the team sometimes?

Rice was hurt late in season. Was wearing a boot for last month.  High ankle sprain

Ramel Lloyd Jr. received two years of a great education and good scout-team experience. I'd say he and Bronny James can start their own college so they can be their bonafide star players. Maybe LeBron can accomplish that for his fellas.

Crazy that a kid ranked that high was here for 2 years and didn't log 1 minute.

We scored enough points to win nearly any other game in the tourney. So there's that...

But man, we almost gave up a century!

And that I cannot, cannot suffer. SHooting like that all game isn't luck. It's a fundamnetla flaw in how a team is playing on D. I said in the threa,d that I can't make anyjudgements about anything for the game until I see some helpfully placed videos. But when I'm reading stuff like "no one's going after balls on the ground" and some other posts in-game that implied we weren't busting our rumps the way we need to to win, I start getting crotchety. It really seems like this team stopped playing hard as soon as they loicked up the bid by pounding Indiana.

There were several comments, even in that video, focusing on just the fact of the bid. Then I see comments by two coaches about complacency and remining players the season isn't over....who the hell says that to a team fired up by being in the Dance?

I'm sure I'll see and read more about the effort put forth....and if it turns out these dudes were just satisfied already and "happy to be there", then I'm gonna be pissy for a bit. You play in my schools colors, I expect you to play hard. ESPECIALLY when it's in the frigging Tourney!

I was at the game and didn’t see this at all. Effort was not the reason we lost. Allick was all over the place. I think we just went into the game trying to keep them from driving which left open the 3 ball and our coaches and players sure as heck weren’t planning on them draining 3s like they did. Just a tough night. Had no answers.

I love this team, I love Keisei, I love Jo, and I even love boogie. Everyone found their role on this team, everyone bought in, and the team was awesome to watch.

We ran into an absolute buzz saw tonight against Tamu. We didn’t play great defense by any means, but they came and shot out of their minds in the first half. At that point we didn’t have a chance.

    GBR always

Boogie was so engaged on that sideline tonight. Very impressed by him and could tell he wanted to win as bad as the next guy
