Going to comment on couple things I saw in game thread.
    1. Why the hell is the Rutgers AD patting CJ on the back to start 2nd half? Anyone not associated within the team should never touch a player unless player approaches them. And even if player does approach a fan he's facing a technical because of celebration of or retaliation of some sort.
    2. Sam Hoiberg is fun to watch. When he was getting minutes during mop up duty I wasnt impressed with him. But man now that he is getting important minutes he's showing he belongs. And guessing early on he knew he was only playing in blow outs so he didn't prepare as hard but now that he's playing meaningful minutes he's into the game mentally and has a typical "coaches kid" mentality.
    3. Does this husker team remind anyone else of a city league/town team type team.
Walker and Greisel play like the 38 year old guys that just know the game and frustrate the 22 year old former all stater with their smarts, positioning and humility.
Keisei is the guy that is super hyper and won't quit running. However those guys usually can't shoot in the rec league.
Lawrence is the guy you can't figure out because he doesn't appear to be doing that much but is just a "steady eddie" type.
Wilcher is the guy you guard at start but if he misses his 1st couple you let him shoot til he makes couple in a row.
Hoiberg is the guy who doesn't look like he will beat you. But a basket here, a rebound there then a steal and maybe an assist and you're calling him names.
Breidenbach is the guy that shows up late and has 2 different socks and elastic is shot in one of them so it's around his ankles. You also hope you get to guard him but then    he  "careers" you and your friends bring it up even at the mention of his name.

Fact...if we capitalize on this momentum and do not lose again this year, we will be Big 10 and National Champions.

Regarding the officiating, I think there were many calls that were questionable.

    1. I am surprised that only 1 NC State player got tossed as the entire bench was on the floor, I know it was a timeout at the start, but they didn't go back to their bench, they got into the mix.

    2. Walker got away with at least 4 travels in overtime alone...His footwork is a disaster.

    3. Definitely a foul on the layup, especially after a call on the other end...I'm ok if you allow some hacks in the last minute if you allow it both ways.

I’d argue that our shooting would improve if our passes were more accurate so that our shooters can shoot easier. But when the passes are wild, at the knees, up over their head, etc ii is difficult to catch and shoot in rhythm

my thoughts on last nights game.
I haven't seen it mentioned much yet, but the three point shots we took were in most cases absolute horrible looks.  Too many shots off of a dribble instead of inside out 3 pointers....5-20 from 3 kind of illustrates that. I liked the aggressiveness of Verge and Bryce in penetrating the lane, but like many have said they forced too many contested shots at the rim...they need to realize that when driving to the rim, this is where we can get the open three pointers when help collapses on them.   23-7 in offensive rebounds...that is the equivalend of 16 extra possessions. If you have guys that drive the lane like Verge and Bryce, as an offensive rebounder, you have to know that you need to be a secondary driver and kind of follow them if you are not a spot of shooter...it is a great way to pick up garbage buckets as the lane opens up behind them and you can be in great position to get a miss. (you can't do it too early or you bring your defender with you, but timed right, it is  a great way to grab a offensive board....too much watching these guys drive) This team is dripping with athleticism, but if you don't rebound the ball, you will consistently get beat by less talented teams...

I'd have to assume that after a combination of getting killed on the boards and foul trouble that rolling out Lakes and not Andre is an indication that Andre is either not practicing well and/or perhaps just pouting about his role.  Seems like a guy that needs to learn to be a star in his role and that he's not buying into what the staff is telling him is that role.

I get the frustration with Verge and it's deserved. I will however point out that he put in enough effort to grab 13 rebounds.  The last I checked he clocks in at 6'3" 165 or so.  But really all the size in the world doesn't matter when guys are just watching the ball.

Nebraska deserved to lose. A winner's mentality is not celebrating like you won a championship after every flashy play. Honestly seems like our guys care more about looking good than making simple, winning plays.

Generally the team that is ahead doesn't foul as much as the team that is behind, so it should help the team that is behind more....

What B-town mentions plus the league's showing this year will automatically lead to the perception by the pundits that next year will be a "down" one for the Big Ten. Therefore, Nebraska will have to finish in the top three just to be invited to the NCAA tourney.

why would it make it harder?  if i am behind and I foul you...and you have to earn the second free throw instead of getting it automatically.

I don't like the double bonus. It helps the bad free throw shooting teams.

I also would offer a coach the opportunity to advance the ball using a timeout...but he forfeits the time spent on the bench...so he calls timeout..advances the ball but they don't get time to discuss strategy...This would help with pacing at the end of games as I think many coaches would take the advancing of the ball in the last 20 seconds or so and probably save timeouts just in case he needs this option  in the last seconds of a game.

I would like to see the 5 second call expanded (call it on dribbling and eliminate the closely guarded aspect).  This would force teams to move the ball as one player dribbling the ball for 14 seconds is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

I am not a fan of the double bonus...I would go back to the 1 and 1 for all bonus fouls...i think the best part of the game is the last two minutes and doing anything to make it harder to come back from a deficit is the worst thing you can do the game....I would totally go in the other direction.

I think the public's tolerance for risk vs. continued willingness to accept limitations on personal freedom will flip by the beginning of August, if not beforehand. People are getting more and more stir crazy. They want to get back to work; they want to get back to their social lives. There will come a point in time in the not too distant future where I predict people are going to think the risk of getting the disease is not significant enough to justify remaining home from things they want to do.

I think you can talk people into making small sacrifices for an extended period of time or really big sacrifices for a small amount of time. But I don't think the public has the stomach for really big sacrifices for an extended period of time unless people are dropping like flies. So ... I think the season goes off as planned. There might be a slight delay if schools don't open up to students until the start of classes. That puts programs behind in conditioning and they might make up for it by pushing back the start of the season just a touch.

But I'm going to say it'll be a go and people will be in the mood for some entertainment.
