Ruling freed up a transfer who had 10 pts and 6 bds against the boobirds. Thanks, judge!

For future reference, I'm unsure of how cut and dry this is when people are looking to hang praise or blame on a single individual after any given game.
Oh, don't worry, we'll find a way to do it.

I wonder how he got that. Couldn't find that feature on the menu.

That's scary. Not going to be a lot of quality wins available in conference.

This reminds me of Trinity Brady.

A thoughtful title to this thread. MSU board has one called "Tom's team sucks":

Minnesota could be a great job with the right coach. Unbelievable how much instate talent is available, but they've had trouble keeping it at home. Jalen Suggs and Chet Holmgren, just to mention a couple of recents. About 4 million in the Twin Cities, and basketball is a big deal in the smaller communities.
Also, only one other D1 school instate is Summit League's St. Thomas. Think about that for a minute. We have 3, with about one third of the population (5.7m vs. 1.9m). Look out if they hire Niko.

Sparty shooting 27% on 3s for the year. Let the mean reversion wait a week!

We are the worst power 6 job.
Here's a comparison with other lower P6 programs. I assume that we beat ALL of them on $$$ and facilities. Advantages for our closest competitors:
BIG
Northwestern: Good recruiting base, recent success, otherwise poor history
Penn State: Ditto
Rutgers: Ditto
ACC
Boston College: 3 Elite Eights, good recruiting base
Big 12
Central Florida: Good recruiting base, not sure about their facilities and $$$. Former D2 powerhouse, has won just one NCAA tournament game (2019)
Pac-12
Washington State: Poor local recruiting base, with Seattle nearby. Fairly poor history, although they made a Sweet 16 in 2008.
Cal: Good recruiting base, disinterested fans. Rich history with 19 NCAAs, a national championship and 3 FFs.
Big East
DePaul: Good recruiting base, rich history (though abysmal for last 20 years)
Washington State and UCF seem to be the closest comp.

He also specifically used the words “our guys have to make a conscious effort to find Keisei, especially in transition when he’s open”
Wish someone would follow up with “at times it doesn’t seem like certain guys want to pass to him…”
KT doesn't usually give up the ball until after he's exhausted his chances at getting a shot. So teammates often get the ball back after waiting to see what he does. when they're not in a position to score themselves. I know he's our meal ticket, but 0.7 assists per game is pretty telling and might be the reason some are reluctant to give him the ball.

For a program with a lot of historically bad coaches, he's the worst.

Mine:
ESPN announcers (others not as bad) talking about some dumb effing game later on the "ESPN family of networks" and not the game they're broadcasting. I don't give **** about the "big game" later when I'm watching the Huskers.

Thanks! It seems like KSU has had a lot of close/OT games that they’ve won in, so I imagine they are up there on the luck scale currently
They're 51st on luck, we're 57.

To answer succinctly, yes, there is a severe lacking of good referees as a lot of the better long-time refs have stepped away from the arena.
With the kind of scrutiny they receive, is it any wonder?

I just read where the refs went to the monitor at half, and claimed that was a great call at the end of the half. WTF. They said Brice was not in legal defending position. The offensive guy goes into him! He cannot do that.
Didn't Fred say that too?

Some numbers to chew on:
Gary (career 25% )and Allick (29%) took a combined 6 3s.
KT and Brice took a combined 4.

I'm just wondering what site/sites you guys use for the NET/RPI ? I use Nolan Warren.
Nolan Warren is really good for quick looks at resume, vs Q1, Q2, etc.
Forecasting 2023-24 lineup
in The Haymarket Hardwood

After seeing the Lloyd news, I thought about going back to see where we expected him to be before the season started. Rather than humiliate those who had him in the starting lineup, I'd point out this especially prescient post. It's clear Gary would have started at the beginning of the season if fully healthy.
