Plus our student section has had plenty of practice cheering for him so I think he’d be a perfect fit!

Seems like a personal choice on how much one values their senior year of high school.  We all know how much we would or would not, but that doesn’t really matter.

Maybe he was one of those kids who was held back and is already old for his class? Who knows, I’m sure they’ve thought it thru and it’s what he wants to do so why not. Everyone is different

My vote is for Chucky, because I really want our students to sarcastically boo him every time he touches the ball.  I think that would be hilarious.

He'll play more basketball at a higher level redshirting at Nebraska next year than he would starting every game for Southwest. If his goal is to be a contributor as a (redshirt) freshman at Nebraska, then skipping his last year of HS and enrolling at NU a year early is a good play. He'll get strength training, individual workouts, film study and the like at a high D-1 level and he'll get mental reps during games. If being a better player is the goal, leaving HS early is the right play.

    “A Tale Of Two Coaches”

At the end of the 21-22 school year, Alberts sat down with Fred and Frost and basically reset both contracts and encouraged them to make changes to be more successful.

One Coach took it as an opportunity to retool his roster and staff and implemented major changes to the system.  The other one — More Of The Same — and got canned after the Georgia Southern loss.

Kudos to Trev for making sure the coaches know he has their back when they are doing things the right way.

I guess I see what you're saying, but keisei was basically being smothered all game. I saw Brice look his way when running off screens, but no opening and moved onto the next read. Didn't knock down any of his 3s, which one or two had to have come off passes from Brice without remembering, and all of his shots were self created.

They were also throwing doubles at keisei on dhos forcing him to pass to a big underneath or allick in the corner. Good gamelan by ben Johnson to shut the water off from him. Force him to create his own shot and don't give him C&S opportunities. He did have a lob pass to Brice at the rim which would've been an assist had he finished it, but got fouled. I saw keisei point in his direction afterwards as if to say "I got you" after the play. There may have been opportunities to look each other's way more often, but the gamelan they had was working, and it led to a 20 point win.

I don't see much animosity between them personally, but I don't pay that close of attention to stuff like that.

Small excerpt about Nebraska in here. Basically confirmed it was between us and WF. Really happy he's playing as well as he is though.

Albers having a discussion with Hoiberg about how his teams need to play seemed to coincide with getting rid of dead weight and elevating Loemser role in the program.

Having an AD who is active with the programs goes a long way. Moos was not as active as Trev is right now, and that means a lot to your top end programs.

I also noticed that Boogie's body language was better yesterday.  I am sure he is disappointed not to be in the rotation but I think he is at least starting to accept that and enjoy the run his teammates are having and his less visible role in helping make that happen .

I haven't noted any deliberate distribution problems myself and don't see any point in bringing it up. I really doubt any of the players are thinking that about not throwing the ball to player X,Y,or Z, since hitting an open player should be an instinctive move when the opportunity arises.

Actually I have not noticed any perceived animosity or real angst from the guys in the past month. There's always going to be a play or two that happen between the guys, but this year nothing has seemed to be an ongoing lack-of-trust or anything like that. That's a big reason this specific team has a high ceiling right now. Camaraderie, resiliency, and toughness.

The "Husker Power" chant is a winner. It started during a late Minnesota offensive possession and it was loud. We need to use it EVERY time the opposing team is forced to call a timeout.

I was happy that Dawson Garcia's 5th foul corresponded with the under 4-minute official timeout. The students absolutely have to come up with a different way of harassing opposing players who foul out. Guys, opposing players have figured out how to time your "SIT DOWN!" with when our guy is shooting free throws. Don't make our guy miss just to dunk on their guy fouling out. Sometimes, we need those points.

A little bit of "DEE-FENSE (clap clap) DEE-FENSE (clap clap)" would be nice as well.

There has been a noticeable resurgence and camaraderie amongst all the Big Red athletic teams, tbh.

I don’t think there’s a problem between them. They both look to get their own shots first. But Keisei threw a lob to Brice and he got fouled and went to the line on the play. They each like to hunt their own shots, but they are team players and I don’t see any animosity between them.

My first reaction is I'm SO glad for Lawrence. He's had a very up and down season and picked a great time to figure his role out. Even though he didn't start, he played most of the second half and closed the game. Great perseverance on his part.

I think his defense the last 3-4 games has been really good (for him), definitely stepped it up in that area.
