  1. That's crazy. They had a good core group returning if all of those guys would have stayed.
  2. He's the guy I want at point as well, especially since he has three years of eligibility remaining. TyTy would be great too.
  3. This is the reason it will be hard to bring in a big that wants a lot of minutes next season.
  4. I don't know, but the fact that we were reaching out to point guards for next season probably wasn't a good sign for Mr. Wood either.
  5. Yes, he does have an outside shot (nice looking stroke) with range extending beyond the 3 point line. He has good handles as well. He's not flashy but looks like he would fit Fred's system very well IMO.
  6. Yvan's a good dude. Thanks for being a Husker and best of luck going forward.
  7. OKC had 9 more made 3's and 8 more made FT's which I'm sure helped in the end.
  8. Flirted with a triple double last night - 10 pts, 8 reb & 9 TO's. Yikes!
  9. Yep, he's good. Would be a great get.
  10. All I can recall is two freshman post players abusing us inside and us not being able to stay in front of their guards.
  11. I think the opposite was true for some of the members of that team and may have been a contributing factor in some of their losses that season. Disrespect your opponent and you will walk off the floor with an L. I think the same thing happened when we lost to Penn.
  12. This guy looks to have some skills. Certainly has some hops.
  13. JMO, but Kobe needs to be coming off the bench again next year if he chooses to stay. He's had some nice games this year, but he's a little bit of a one trick pony. He's a scorer who is a bit streaky. He's not a facilitator or a great ball handler and is a bit of a liability on the defensive end. For this team to take a step forward next year, we need a true point guard who can also score it when needed.
  14. One thing going against Stevenson is when he drives and misses it almost always becomes a run out and a 5 on 4 for the opponent.
  15. I don't know if a redshirt would fix Yvan's main problem, which is his hands. Seems like a very teachable kid, but he has the worst hands I've ever seen for a basketball player.
  16. He was there and dressed so you got me? I don't recall anyone asking about it during the post game presser either.
  17. Didn't realize he was a junior. That's not ideal, but it essentially would be the same as taking a grad transfer except he would have a year to get acclimated to the team/system. Whether he is a good fit, I don't know.
  18. I thought that might be the case. I agree we need a point guard as well, but I don't think Johnson would be a good fit. Toney however is intriguing. If we had room and he wanted to come here... The real question is what's up with programs under Jeff Capel? He did the same thing at Oklahoma.
  19. To be frank, his body language has been concerning most every time he has entered a game. Looks disinterested and his effort hasn't been great either. Having said this, he does look engaged on the bench and is often cheering on his teammates. I think he has potential to contribute down the road. Question is whether he's patient enough to stick around.
  20. Signing one over the limit is what I was missing. Thanks.
