  1. The way kawhi leonard is playing right now, a poor man's kawhi leonard would be a perennial all star
  2. Losing Jayce does not change that. Jayce would have played as a grad transfer next season, which Joel needs to sit out if he transfers here. Having one doesn't really affect the other. Or am I missing something? Nvm: Joel might get a waiver. My bad!
  3. Alford is in Reno at univ. of Nevada. Tj Otzelberger from SoDak St. is in Vegas at Unlv. Still in the mountain west with unm
  4. You know the old saying... a broken clock is right twice a day
  5. I got bashed pretty hard for this a few weeks ago
  6. Hmmm, see what you are getting at. Idk, I always liked his game. It's really good having a foothold in that state and that city. I think there may be a time for opening it up, but for now we should see how the rest of his summer goes.
  7. Looks like he has really long arms for someone who is just 6 foot 8
  8. Wow. He is a baller. Really excited to see us going after an Oakland point guard, but I guess he is originally from New York. Plays aau for the Oakland Soldiers. BTW another kid who played for the Oakland solidiers aau team who was not from Oakland.... LeBron James https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sfgate.com/warriors/amp/LeBron-made-impression-with-Oakland-AAU-team-as-6305667.php
  9. Great to see more scholarships open up but, isn't it very possible there is a waiting game going on and we will take either Yvan or Kevin? I don't think we would take both. Both play the same position and are risky scholarships in their own right. If that is the case, I take Yvan. Who would you take?
  10. Dang Minnesota is so hot right now as a breeding ground for basketball. Wisconsin has a lot of guys on the top 100 2020 and 2021 list too. Suggs looks like the next Terell Pryor. Projects as a pro in football and basketball
  11. If I had to try tho... 1Xavier Johnson 2Dachon Burke 3Ed Morrow 4Michael Jacobson 5Isaiah Roby
  12. I think Akol will be getting minutes from time to time throughout the season next year.
  13. https://twitter.com/HuskerExtraCB/status/1121817991824445441?s=09 This isn't a Karrington Davis thread, nor am I a Karrington Davis hater, but graciously asking him to move on is the most logical move forward. I know I am not the first person to bring this up and many of you feel other players from the miles regime need to go as well, and I agree with that Impo karrington is particularly pernicious. Hoiberg and staff won't see Davis play in any capacity until July... Has Coach Gates, who was here last year, even seen him play? The poor kid hasn't played a full season of basketball in 4 years. I am excited about matej and haaniff and hopefully jayce. This will leave space for a quality 2020 class, so it would be best to back these grad transfers with a traditional transfer to step in behind them, right? Having space for that quality 2020 class and a couple trad transfers who can fill and play after sitting a year... Booyah.
  14. I see @Norm Peterson I guess it sucks that he won't graduate, and won't play for us next year, but it makes sense to leave and workout. Being projected were he is, he is so close to guaranteed money that we should be asking "why would he come back?" plus he probably isn't lottery, so depending how he works out he has a good chance to land with a contender.
  15. So zay hasn't been going to class? Is Bart just saying this is a rule of thumb or is he speaking directly about Roby?
  16. I think we recruited this kid out of high school. A shooter who is definitely worth a look
  17. How about "nextyearsucksbutfutureisbrightskaball"
  18. Gotta keep Thor right? He will be a junior next season and play no matter what. Karrington Davis however.....
  19. I wonder how much of a player Kentucky is for him, and think he will go to Duke. I enjoyed watching Kentucky play this past season. They were unbeatable at times. Coach cal does the 1 and done game better than Coach K. He did the same with less. Plus he is playing in the NIKEhoopssummit... Adidas coaches will be locked out
  20. I went to the 2001 Final Four in Minneapolis, and it remains one of the best weekends of my life. Just me and my dad. No clue how he paid for it. I crossed paths with Jerry Tarkanian, Bill Russell, and Payton Manning that weekend. It was phenomenal
  21. I agree with your thought process, but who? This team is so depleted you don't have a ton of options
  22. There would be nothing better than stealing this kid.
  23. So, since I updated that zeke committed to Zona 4 months ago, he has small scale blown up. He is now a top 30, 5 star on rivals for what that is worth and it is mostly based on measurements. Zeke is 6 foot 9 or 10 or 11 based on who you ask. The best thing about Zeke is that he moves well. Really well. If anything he is a 6 10 guy who can run with anybody. He LOVES to pick and pop, and he has the range to do it. He is also a plus ball handler, so it would be very interesting to see how hoiberg would use a kid like this (point-4 action would be very fun to watch, also what if Roby stays ? does Roby play point 4 and become the video game type player we all need/expect ) Zeke is clearly a take at any cost player, but, personally, I don't love his game. Zeke could, and I think would, handle and grow to be a center point of hoiberg offense, but next year he won't be able to simply score over guys like he did in Minnesota HS basketball. We also don't have a typical big to play behind him next year. He is not the back to the basket kind of player that many of the Husker faithful are calling for (I'm sorry but David Robinson retired 20 years ago) and he is not a presence defensively in the post. Do I want this kid: Yes! Would he be a sign of Nebraska really starting to gain a foothold on talent in the midwest: OH Hell Yes! Was the best freshman in the big ten this past year on very disappointing teams (ayo on Illinois and Romeo on IU) and they both may enter the draft.... Well, yeah #bewareof5star
  24. So this guy is a huge body literally and metaphorically. He would change a lot the second he walked in the door. I have no clue what recruiting looks like under Fred. I loved the way Miles recruited, even when he was handcuffed under Moos.
