A lot of people on this board are over analyzing one loss to a red-hot Texas A&M team.
-
I fully expect (and expected) to lose Keita, CJ, and Lloyd. I think anyone in here starting to downplay Rice's potential is just sour grapes. Kid had loads of potential.
-
This is really disappointing. He's either going to end up somewhere with less chance for success, or he will be at a much smaller school.

Finally home and had some time to reflect… The second I saw A&M line-up for the tip I immediately said, “oh no this is a baaaad match for us.” They were just too big, too “man strong,” and too physical for us. I knew in my head they were good offensive rebounders, but when I saw them I understood it wasn’t an accident. Mast and Allick are great players but they’re simply not big/long/athletic enough to rebounds against them. Our guys worked hard, but they simply couldn’t high-point rebounds high enough that tips didn’t happen. Oh and then of course they shoot 60% from 3.

I watched my first Husker basketball game ...

I don't know exactly what my first game was, but it was in the womb for the 1986-1987 season. -
I need a Texas A&M scout report, pronto!

The good: they don’t shoot the 3 well and the don’t defend the 3 well. The bad: they offensive rebound well and they have a “dude,” which is my biggest fear. Our defense is not built to stop “1 guy” who’s going off. Hopefully they can add in some adjustments this week. -
Maybe it’s just my experience, but I find it very non-user friendly. The drop down and roll over menus frequently don’t work and you have to hover over just perfectly to make it work.

They’ve struggled with this every time we’ve played them. -

I don’t think Mike Woodson is sure how to attack Nebraska’s defense lol. My guy…. Watch some film? -
I just want to put it on record that when this hire was made I was pretty clear with everyone that, from my few interactions with him, TA is a pretty cut-throat, nearly non-human robot - so none of this surprises me.

Bryce and CJ terrify me every time we see a press.
-
The nice thing about all 3 of them, I don't think any of them are necessarily looking to be Head Coaches right now. Coach Ernie seems pretty settled in his role, Coach Howard does too and he's too young/unpolished, and Coach Loesner essentially gets to be a co-Head Coach with this team. I think Coach found himself a loyal, engaged, intelligent group of dudes.

We’re either not going to realize how good we had it, or were gonna win by 400 when we get away from big ten refs.
