  1. Two comments: 1. Creighton only has 11 players on its roster with 6 seniors, 2 sophomores; 2 redshirt freshman, and only one freshman; plus no one over 6ft 1 inch. Thought they might have picked up a post player. 2. Here are the stats for Nebraska's first 3 games below: Kendall Moriarty is underperforming so far since she has been starting per her stat line above and averaging 23 minutes a game. As a junior she should be playing better than she is. Tends to hold the ball too long and needs to drive mor to either score or get fouled. Likely, Callin Hake should be a starter instead based on her performance thus far.
  2. So how did this right leg injury actually happen? Did someone run into her or fall on her or what? Little explanation in the new or posts thus far!
  4. I thought the hope was to add Ann Prince (Elkhorn coach) to the staff to help with getting her daughter Brit to UNL. Is there still another position to fill with the new rules?

  9. Nebraska women’s basketball team has added its first known transfer of the offseason in former Montana State player Darian White. Per Brent Wagner, 4/18, Lincoln Journal Star The Nebraska women’s basketball team has added its first known transfer of the offseason in former Montana State player Darian White. The 5-foot-6 guard announced her move on social media on Tuesday. This past season, she led Montana State in scoring (14.3 per game), rebounds (5.6) and assists (3.5) while starting all 31 games. The Bobcats had a 20-11 record but did not make a postseason tournament. White earned first-team all-conference honors each of the past three seasons. She played four seasons at Montana State, and announced last month she would enter the transfer portal and play her final season elsewhere. During her first season at Montana State, she was coached by new Nebraska assistant coach Julian Assibey. From Boise, Idaho, White was the Idaho high school player of the year in 2019.

  11. As it turns out, both papers had very small articles on page 2 Friday 4-14 on Goehle leaving but they were very small. I thought this would have deserved more ink than it got. Likely we need a person that has either played the 4 or 5 position and has coached it as well. Why not Andy Markowski?
  12. Tom Goehle's leaving was covered for like one day on the on line sports sites for both the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald. However neither paper had any coverage in their e-editions or hard paper copies about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More evidence of lack of women's sports coverage by either paper while we are being force fed Kool Aid articles on men's sports every day in multiple articles!!!!!! Why not have better women's sports coverage as well!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Sorry I messed up my chart by one on Saturday when I put it out there as understated needs by one. We will have to hope for Shelly staying, and wish the best for Izzy. If Shelley does not stay we will need 4 to get to 15.

Donarski, a three-time starter, joins three other Iowa State players to enter to the portal: Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw, Maggie Vick and Morgan Kane.
  15. Another game of too many turnovers in part as unable to handle the press as should have been expected and practiced for. Poor in the paint shooting. Only 3 points from the bench. Unfortunately Williams contract goes to April 2026,which we can not wait for termination. She should not get a year extension so those of you that know Alberts need to get in his ear. Here is her employment agreement: https://nebraska.edu/-/media/projects/unca/docs/transparency/contracts/amy-williams-contract-of-employment.pdf

  17. Below is Amy's Big Ten win/loss record in the conference. This pretty much confirms that she is a mediocre coach with more losses than wins! NE should at least have more wins than losses over time. 19. Per the NE roster site, below is Mendelson's high school experience before NE. Many of our other b-ball players had similar high school experiences which have not come to fruition at NE for various reasons including coaching and type of defense or whatever. She does not have the bulk that many Big Ten inside players have so she gets bounced around a bit. Before NebraskaAs a basketball player at Fremont High School, Mendelson led the Silverwolves to the 2021 state championship with a perfect 26-0 record as a sophomore in 2021. She averaged 14.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.9 blocks while starting every game. She collected 15 points and 14 rebounds in the state title game. In her final high school season as a junior, Mendelson led the Silverwolves back to the 2022 UHSAA/Mountain America Girls Basketball State Championship game by averaging 17.5 points and 9.1 rebounds over 26 games on the season. In the state title game, Mendelson had 25 points and six steals in a 67-65 double-overtime loss to Lone Peak at BYU (March 5). Fremont finished 24-3.Mendelson had 14 points and seven boards in a state semifinal win over Westlake (March 3), after putting up 19 points and 15 rebounds in a victory over Bingham (March 1).As a freshman, Mendelson averaged 8.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.
  20. I miss spoke above as should have referenced the Illinois game and not Michigan State.
  21. For the Michigan State game Nebraska's field goal percentage was 0.327 and the 3 point level was 0.238. Below are some field goal percentage information for this year versus last year: The team Big Ten Shooting percentage YTD is lower than for last year. 23. The level of turnovers is disturbing but in part caused by the Northwestern muggings with lack of fouls called. However what is also disturbing was the the number of turnovers by our top players with Haiby with 6, Izy with 5 and Jaz with 5. These experienced players need to play smarter but also need to go help out when another players is getting boxed in.
  24. As several the turnovers are outrageous with 4 turnovers in the first 3 minutes of the game before making a basket, plus a couple turnovers on inbounding below our basket! That is horrible for a college team! It seems like the development of Mendleson is not a priority or Coley. Mendleson may be ready for a fulltime volleyball scholarship versus a basketball scholarship if she can get it. It likely will not matter what talent level we can get if Williams and the others are in charge, particularly if they can not fix passing and inbounding with who we have. I prefer the team to do well, but am tired of crappy play. It seemed like when they tried to slow the speed of putting up shots they did better in scoring. Likely we can watch them play in the NIT!
  25. I was wondering if Caitlan Clark could go to the WNBA to get her out of college women's basketball but, "The WNBA "requires players to be at least 22, to have completed their college eligibility, to have graduated from a four-year college or to be four years removed from high school". Darn!
