There are multiple items to improve on: First of all we do not use free throw line jump shots really at all which would help with the offense. Nissley can and likely Weidner as well. The guards need to more effectively use the screens to either do a quick catch and shoot (Nissley is good at quick catch and shoot)and or drive to the basket hard to either score or get fouled. Moriarty drove to the basket but only insolated instances. Our passing is suspect more than it should be with bad longer passes at times so improved passing mentality is warranted. It seems that schemes and movement for Potts and Markowski could improve to get open more. The addition of Prince will be a huge plus with various shooting and passing skills. Adding a couple of 6'3" or more quality players would also be huge.

White was not effective today with 3-6 free throws and 3 turnovers. Is Stewart hurt or just in the dog house???

Coley was likely in the game more (8 minutes) as she is from Minnesota as is Stewart (only 4 min) and want to retain Coley for another year (she was better this year but still needs to improve). Leaving some starter out of the game with a few minutes left was likely stupid as reflected by others above. One of our players was tetting tied up right in front of our bench but a time out was not taken to save the possession. What else is new with Williams with subbing pattern and everything else??????? The good new is we have 20 wins to get us in the Dance for maybe one and done with 2 games at the most.

Another very poor coaching job by Williams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had 2 time outs in the last 20 or so seconds when two offensive rebounds were made but no time out taken to set up a play!!!!!!! The 2 missed free throws by Hake were a killer as well Late several missed field goals were a problem as well. Guess I would have had Shelley drive the ball and try to score at the end and possibly get fouled as well. Looking forward to having Prince on board next year!!!!!!! Yutan in the state tournament had a good attacking offense to the basket which would be helpful here.

I think both Stewart and Krull need to get down the road. Stewart has been a minimal player this past year with injury issues or not?. Her scoring has continued to drop the last 4 years, but she is always good for a few fouls when she is in. It would be better to get a couple more skilled bigs with playing time for more than a year to get developed. I watched part of UCLA and Colorado last night with UCLA currently having at least 6 players of 6'3 or more. We need more height and muscle as the BIG 18 goes forward. With having 3 guards coming plus Allison back and the guards we have, we really do not need Krull and would likely be a frustrating season for her with likely diminished time playing per game as happened this year versus last year. Now Williams et al need to get cracking on finding some bigs domestic or foreign (as some teams have done) or the portal.

NE still needs a couple power forwards of 6'3" variety to take care of the middle and score as well.

I see Annika Stewart is still missing as just saw her on a milk carton???

A question I have with all the below expectations on shooting and poorer play is, "What on earth does this team do in practice to run plays, shoot or improve????? I would expect that they do not play as erratic in practice, but who knows?? I would suggest that they practice more jump shoots about free throw high. They certainly do not do this in pregame as everyone is hucking up three pointers before the game and second half starts!!!!! Maybe more practice on layups as well!

Typical poorly coached game by Williams et al. No time outs taken until 2:21 left in the game. No righting of the ship in the 3rd quarter when only 11 points were scored. Apparently only 13 for 26 on layups. Shelley is not performing up to expectations and may be selling insurance in Australia instead of playing pro ball! Can anyone spell NIT?

A positive good win in the end! Keep it rolling!

7 turnovers by Markowski does not cut it. She needs to kick it back out more. Need more offensive sets for Potts versus 3 point shots. Shelley needs to drive more as does Moriarty.

With NE down by ten at 26-36 at the half, the NE guards were 1-16 with Shelley 0-6; White 0-3; and Krull 0-1. At the end of the 3rd quarter, it was 45-64 with Shelley 1-8; White 1-5; and Krull 1-3. Finally, in the 4th quarter Shelley, White, and Moriarty hit some shots and were at least trying to drive the ball but in the end NE lost 73-82. Markowski had a double-double while Potts had a tough day as did Hake. Turnovers were outrageous at times and ended up at 18. With Iowa on tap and other games upcoming we cannot keep having poor game starts and be anywhere close at the end.

It was good to see the guards be more proactive to try to score including driving to the basket (especially Moriarty). This effort against MN would have made a difference in likely getting a win.. The defense was good as well as the rebounding. As usual Potts was a rock in all phases of the game. Poor 3 point shooting is still a problem.

Nebraska women need to get going very soon if they have not already on getting another post player in soon with Stewart a senior and Markowski a junior (plus Mendelson gone). Based on the season to date I would not think Stewart would be back for a 5th year. Unfortunately good post players are hard to come by as many high school posts committed already, so may may need to look to the portal. We have guards/forwards and some great guards coming in based on their stats. I looked some at the JUCO rosters for posts but many are shorter players.

Another SOS game. Only 9 points in second quarter!!! Shooting only 34%. No significant drives to the basket. A bunch of huck up 3's. Krull plays 27 minutes and does not score a point. Moriarty plays 12 minutes and does not score. Stewart plays 4 minutes and needs to be put on a milk carton. Geez! NIT team at best!

Great to have the starting guards score total of 30 points versus Illinois and which was more than the 14 and 11 of the prior two games combined. Shelley with 17 (4 3's) and 6 assists; Krull with 7 and 2 assists; and White with 6 and 1 assist (missed a couple layups). Each had some rebounds as well. The guards did a better job of moving and trying to create shots. Appears Williams went somewhat away from her y ball substitutions this game with the 5 starters having 25 or more minutes each, with Shelley the max at 37. The prior 4 games, 3 had more than 25 min with In; 3 with WI, 4 with MD; and 2 with KU. Good win but 4th quarter drought on scoring was not good.

Indiana at home just beat Penn State 75-67 shooting 42.4% and 4/14 on 3 pointers, versus FG % of 60.1% against NE and 14/23 on 3's. Unfortunately Pinnacle has been a shooters gym for opponents!

NE 3 starting guards had same story this game on lack of scoring. Only 14 points total versus 11 in the Wisconsin game. They only had 6 assists versus 9 at WI. Something needs to change with the offense. Our guards are too slow to shoot and generally do not drive the ball to either score or get fouled. Will likely be a long year unless things change. Nissley needs to get in sooner. Sets need to be set up for Potts. Geez this B_ is getting old!

The 3 starting guards scored a total of 14 points. They did some other things including Shelley's 6 assists. However, Shelley is underperforming in my opinion. She still needs to work on her jump shot as well as drive to the basket. Krull is only averaging 3 points a game. The only effective drive to the basket last night was Potts. Can she be cloned somehow? The Y-ball substitution pattern actually worked out with a number of lesser players getting a score or two. Seems like Petrie could add more but she does get to play a lot. She is too short to be a center. Relative to all the discussion on the +/- It looks to be largely a BS discussion, as some of the time it largely makes no sense for what really happened in the game!!
