BugeaterZ reacted to 49r in Nebraska To Be Booted From B1G?
but, AAU accreditation or not, NU is a top ten revenue generating college athletic department, and top 5 in the upcoming Big Ten. Our place seems fairly secure IMO.

BugeaterZ got a reaction from AuroranHusker in 2024 NCAA Tourney
Danny dribbled the ball off his leg out of bounds giving Nebraska the ball for the game winning shot by Beau Reid, who sored "just 2" according to the PA running down the points by player as we filed out.
I recall my parents missed the game because of a business trip to Vegas so my grandparents took us.

BugeaterZ reacted to HuskerFever in The Cloud Nine Thread
That Rock Bottom thread is burried deep, deep, into the interwebs right now. Let's not resurface that any time soon.
There were times we thought we hit rock bottom, when in reality there was more rock to dig. I'm going with the same theory here. We haven't reached Cloud Nine. But we're at a state of cloud nine that will soon get us to a grander state of cloud nine.
Yesterday, Fred won the national coach of the year award. Then Brice Williams and Juwan Gary publicly announced their commitment to the program. Then Keisei Tominaga won the internet and the 3-point shooting competition. What a day for Nebraska basketball. What a day.
Let this be your Cloud Nine safe space for those moments that just make you smile inside and outside about Nebraska basketball. I hope this thread gets resurfaced more than the rival one that's gotten a lot of miles of use over the years.
Go Big Red!

This is way more fun than I was anticipating but I probably shouldn't be surprised

This basically sums up how I feel. Most demoralizing Husker loss in any sport for me probably since the football team gave up 70 to Wisconsin in the B1G championship game. Just on the brink of something big, then lay an egg. Volleyball is the exception, but it's not one of the sports I came to love as a child like basketball and football are. This one will bum me out for several days to come.
Looking forward to learning what the makeup of next year's roster will be but still have to heal from this one before I can be engaged again.

Still the most wins in a season for this program since before many of you were born.
I'm disappointed. Demoralized. It was embarrassing. The aTm fans were jerks. All of those things.
But the sun came up this morning. I have a tee time. And my guys were still the best team we've put out there in close to 3 decades.
So, I'm keeping my season tickets and I'll see you all at the vault next fall.
Best regards,
Norm

Any truth to the rumor that Trev is in Seattle applying for the open AD position @ Washington?

BugeaterZ got a reaction from lang in I watched my first Husker basketball game ...
In my memory he's hitting baseline jumpers. Probably on a kickout from Hoppen. But I was about 9 years old, so I'm not sure about that.

I don't know what my first game was, but I'm sure it was no later than Dave Hoppen's freshman year. I'm certain our family had season tickets that year, and together with my uncle's family we had nine in a row in section C16, row 22. I kept score along with a cousin who was my age.
I distinctly remember the NIT games with the ABA ball and along with Hoppen, my favorite player was Stan Cloudy.

Makes me really happy that Nebraska made it and Wake Forest didn’t.
