So hard to say because who knows how the rest of the bubble teams will fair? How will the conference tournaments shake up? For instance if someone knocks off Wichita State that takes away an at-large bid. I think we need to win out at home...and then find a way to win one on the road. If we fail to do this we may need to win a few in the Big 10. And back to the original question...yes, I believe we will sell out the NIT games. People will be excited about it.

. Yep....the St Johns who crayton fans think is just the most athletic team were to play basketball! Oh and of course, before Big Ten season started it was stated we would be lucky to win a game...now of course everyone in the Big Ten sucks because we have played well. But, we shouldn't be surprised. This is the "fanbase" that has over 150 pars dedicated to Husker athletics. They will forever and always be obsessed with the Big Red.

Clearly, Lunardi is projecting NU to finish 3-3, which certainly could happen. My thought is this process of projecting out to the end of the year is a bit fruitless when there are quite a few games left. But, I guess that's how he gets so many hits on his website. Assuming we finish 3-3 and that's with us beating PSU, Purdue, NW that puts us mid 60's via the RPI per RPI forcast. So I can only assume he has us going 2-4 to end the season. But I agree on the projecting...just dumb. I guess I assumed his bracket was what would happen if it was selection Sunday right now.

I got my question answered from Joe...although I don't agree with it. Do people project their brackets on what they THINK will happen...or what the bracket would look like as of today? Also...unless we really suck down the stretch I don't think we drop in the the mid 70's on the RPI. "It's a fair question, Jason, but be careful not to cherry-pick your comparisons. I could pick a half-dozen other bubble teams against which the Huskers wouldn't stack up at all. I'm currently projecting Georgetown to finish with an RPI in the mid-50s and Nebraska in the mid-70s. Last Four In: St. Joe Providence Gtown BYU First Four Out: WVU Richmond Baylor Okie Lite Next four Out: Oregon Dayon So Miss La Tech Can anyone please explain to me why a team like Gtown is getting so much love when NU's resume is arguably better? Not to mention some of the other teams mentioned. I realize this list is going to change 50 times within the next few weeks but give me a break.

We are in on quite a few brackets "first four out"...or "next four out." If we can go 2-0 this week I expect in most people's opinion we will be Bubble-In. Lose 1 of the next 2 and we probably won't be mentioned.

Tai has made one basket in the past 5 games...anything we get out of him is just a bonus at this point. The more minutes Benny gets the better.

Tonight....Go Huskers and Go Sparty! A win tonight by NU and a loss by Purdue and we are looking very good to at worst be the #6 seed in the BIg 10 tourny.

This. The MSU win was great but It will continue to be tough for this team to win on the road. After that...I would say Purdue only because of Hammonds who appears to be playing better. He will be very tough for us to stop. I really hope we can go 3-1 in the next 4 games.

Someone from Conference USA has to go to the tournament and they are the odds on favorite. Yes but some have La Tech in as an At-Large team with UTEP winning the tournament. Or...some have La Tech in the "last 4 out" over Nebraska.

I like Nick but we will see if that hold's true when he predicts next years Creighton-NU game.

Can anyone explain to me why anybody would hav La Tech in their bracket over NU? I understand they are 20-5...but, they have the 233 ranked scheduled in the country. Give me a break. If NU wins the next two my guess is we will be in the majority of everybody's bracket. I don't think there is a magic number but get to 19-20 wins and it will be tough to keep us out.
