I can’t imagine who wants to be a college coach these days 

I know a lot of our fanbase thinks the sky is falling and that Fred somehow hasn't earned his extension (yes, there are people saying this). But on April 1, 2023, our Nebraska Basketball scholarship roster for 2023-24 looked like this:

Deep breaths everyone, it will be OK. We are in a much better spot than we were at this time last year.

Why do I have a sinking feeling that Sam H will be the only returner from this year's rotation.

I heard from a pretty reliable source that Potts is considering entering the portal. Nothing official at this point, and my guess would be that Williams would go above and beyond to keep her if she gets word of the rumor.  That would definitely sting though. 

Dain Dainja just entered from Illinois. Could be an upgrade from Kieta??? 

The Culture changed when Sam Griesel walked on Campus. 

Just reading through ISU Fans comments and watching Diop this year I think I’d rather have Diop. He’s 3 inches taller, I don’t feel there’s any concerns about his hands or his shooting for a 5 guy.  It’s just about getting him in the weight room and more experience.  The thing about Omaha is that he’s unlikely to start for us IMO So why come be the 3rd or 4th guy off our bench when it sounds like the main thing he needs is on court time.  He should transfer down for atleast a year IMO

Not sure why a "dude" would leave a team where he was a project to go to another team where he would be a project?  Sounds like he may be a Summitt League candidate.  He could hone his game and then move up if/when the time is right.

This guys floater/pull up in the high paint game may be more impressive than his 73 made 3s last year.  Not sure if athletically he helps us get quicker on defense though

Too short to play at Purdue.  Not goofy looking enough to play at Iowa.  I guess that leaves the Cyclones.

They need to simply make all scholarships/NIL agreements a two year deal for both the player and the school with the exception of your coach leaves/quits everything resets. 
 
2 year agreements give both party’s some stability, doesn’t necessarily allow schools to throw crazy money at everyone and anyone because they have to pay it back to back years, and still gives the players a chance to move on halfway through their college careers if they want.

I feel like a I’ve said this every year the past few years, but with college athletes basically being free agents every year, my interest level continues to wane. 
 
I’m all for athletes getting paid to their max potential, but the current system is just such a mess. 

He was on campus a lot as a recruit and we made his final four schools at that time.  So maybe there’s a chance with us having minutes open at the 4

Diop is the rumor. I would hope he sticks it out and develops but wouldn’t surprise me.

This is my concern about replacing Rice and Wilcher.
It's not that their talent is irreplaceable, but most transfers aren't coming in to be rotational players, especially talented transfers.
