  1. His high schools tape also looks like he was/is pretty effective at getting to the hoop and finishing with both hands in a variety of different ways/angles. Defensive effort was basically a zero in the tape though.
  2. I think for us to ever build a team that is able to consistently push the 20 win mark and hopefully receive tournament berths we need to value 3 things highly. Rebounding, 3 point shooting, and free throws in that order. Everything we do needs to be based around winning the rebounding battle every time we step on the court. Ontop of a lot of other things that feels like what has really doomed us the last decade and a half.
  3. Also been linked to Nelly Joseph. Doesn’t seem super athletic based on some highlights but can finish with both hands around the hoop and has been a plus rebounder in his 3 years at Iona. Wouldn’t bring to the table what walker had at high post but is probably a more skilled player on the block IMO. Would have possibly 2 years to play.
  4. Washut reported hoiberg had a in home with Wojcik this past week. Wouldn’t fill our PG hole but this guy can really catch n shoot it, it looks like as well as having a little bit of game off the dribble. Would be a 1 year guy
  5. This guys a bucket in the low block, has the ability to take guys off the dribble from further out and is a respectable FT shooter. Would be a great get and our starting 5 next year if we were to land him IMO
  6. Just to big of fish for where we currently are as a program
  7. If he could convince Moore to come back(he walked on senior day there) he would in theory return basically the whole team outside of Tolbert whos a pretty athletic forward for them. If I was him I’d probably use this season to take an easier job elsewhere though.
  8. Feels like after watching basketball the last two days and what other tournament teams are built around we need keita and breidenbach to be our rotation at the 5 vs bigger centers then try to get a more athletic 6’8 or 6’9 guy that can play the 4 or 5 in the portal. Foot speed seems to be king in March
  9. And winning it feels like it would be a really big deal for San Jose St.
  10. Well we are 40-83 and 18-61 in the BIG since then. Talent wise there was a lot of hope going into year 3 but that ended in disaster. Year 4 going into year 5 feels like the first time we have a lot of confidence in scheme and culture being right.
  11. If the fighting Timmy’s make the semis they will be on ESPN2 it looks like
  12. If we are gonna start over with a new roster we might as well start over with a new coach. The blow it up every year thing hasn’t worked for us. Wilcher plays more within himself off the dribble and takes his open threes rather than dribbling into pull up 2s he’s fine. BW gets a full off-season of training and trades in those shit corner threes for threes from the elbows and top of the key he will be fine too. Keita, I’m not sure about the ankle injury. They can be pretty tricky, boy we coulda used him that last game vs Minnesota though. The offense will never be ran through him but I think there’s a chance he could be a defensive anchor where we wouldn’t have to double every post touch and he gobbles up a fair amount of boards. He averaged 8 points and 14 boards over 40 minutes this year. for us to ever have any sustained success (18 wins per year) we gotta bring back 6-8 guys each year, no matter what we currently think of them. Consistency matters
  13. Omari Moore is like a James Palmer clone for ole Timmy. He’s done pretty well at attracting transfers from power 5 schools there too it looks like.
  14. Gotta pack your defense or your rebounding when you go on the road. We brought neither tonight. Tough way for a fun second half to end. hopefully most of the eligible pieces return and we get away from the constant doubling the post with more size on the court next season.
  15. Feel he is far to skilled to seriously consider us but time will tell. Walker was not the player he is today back when he transferred here.
  16. I don’t think battle is an NBA or G league player so wonder if he goes overseas or transfers for a 5th year somewhere else, talk about a kick to the balls for Minnesota fans if he transfers.
  17. @Norm Petersondo you not expect keita back or just left him out on accident?
  18. Agree I think we best penn state and northwestern with Gary. He just has an ability like no one else that we have to go up and get it when it comes to rebounding.
  19. Hopefully this concept follows us into future games and next season. Drives me nuts when we double no matter where it’s caught or who catches it. Walker although he gives up some height is a pretty dam solid 1 on 1 defender to always do it anyhow IMO.
  20. Wisconsin escapes the barn, crazy how much Hepburn does for them. They would have zero offensive flow without him. Pretty impressive job by our coaching staff dealing with our major injury’s when you see what happened to pickell and Rutgers once Mag got hurt for the year. Seemed like they were headed for 13 or 14 big ten wins and they finish 10-10
  21. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m gonna miss Griesel so much. We gave up 20 some offensive boards today but play after play and game after game this year he’s busted his ass for us on the defensive glass. So happy he decided to come back home for his final year. He’s a shining example of what this programs foundation should be built on.
  22. Still can’t believe they couldn’t hold off penn state after being up double digits most of the second half today and controlling the whole first half.
  23. For all the crap we give wilcher around here dam he stepped up when we needed it
  24. Incase ya’ll didn’t know, Lawrence is gonna be a D U D E for us
  25. Unfortunately that’s the state of our roster currently.
