  1. Not sure he’s received the interest that he thought he would. Although it looks like San Diego State is interested and he visited there this weekend. we should’ve looked at him last off-season. We woulda been a fan favorite and a great guy to have on last years squad.
  2. He’s got some broad shoulders, very bulky frame in a good way imo. his game and size give me jalen Pickett vibes which would be a home run for us
  3. If we bring in 2 more guards I think both Q and wilcher are gone. No inside info to back that up but both would have few paths to playing time IMO
  4. 247 had him as the 105th best player in the nation and listed him as a center rivals had him as the 124th best player and also listed as a center so not sure who had him as a wing unless that’s what hoiberg said? Either way the skill that people saw has translated yet, hopefully with a full off-season it does.
  5. I think we agree on the missed evaluation outta high school, he was a top 100 or close to top 100 prospect for that cycle if I remember right? I was more so saying we want him here as a rotational big guy. we don’t exactly get a lot of 6’10 guys who are possibly comfortable playing 15 minutes a night(maybe he’s not comfortable with that tho). I don’t think he needs to shoot corner 3s to be an asset to us either, feels like he was 0 percent on those last year lol. He needs to be able to finish around the hoop better(I think the ability to do that is there) needs to be a threat from the top of the key 3 point wise, needs to rebound on both ends of the floor. Then needs to figure out how to not get his lunch ate on the defensive side of the floor. Could he be a Ubel 2.0 for us? I was pretty young while he was here but I seem to remember him being pretty rough as an underclassmen then blossomed into a pretty good big guy for us by his senior year. if we are counting on him to play 30 minutes a game this coming year we will both agree that we are screwed. If he’s out 3rd or 4th big(depending on keita) I think we are in pretty good shape. Again I value the familiarity with the system and the hope that a full off-season will do him wonders.
  6. I’m usually right with you on player evaluations but I disagree on Wilhelm. Has been hurt both of his off-season here and this last year was basically his freshman year. on offense I think he could do some things very well for us but needs to stay away from the corner 3s and trying to take guys off the bounce. Needs to stick to shooting top of the key 3s, picking and rolling, and crashing the offensive boards. on defense he plain and simple needs to get better at defending on the block, he’s always gonna be a liability on the wings. There’s also something to be said for experience in our system imo
  7. Mast and keita would be a great 1-2 punch for us at the five position. Mast more skilled, keita more athletic. Both good rebounders
  8. No husker news does not feel like good new (sad noises)
  9. Those charges ended up getting dropped, from the sound of several articles he wasn’t even the initial one that stole the vehicle. Just got into it after a night of partying and was the person that was identified first
  10. If he’s mentally right he would be such a good get for us. He’s not gonna be the distributor that walker was from the high post or have the off the dribble game but his low block game and rebounding would be better than what walker had. Also looks like in a very small sample size he may have added the 3 pointer to his game last year before sitting out.
  11. Fingers crossed he doesn’t have a GF that goes to Creighton
  12. The Reddit thread with Arizona and WV fans in it have questions on how he will fare against more physical guards in big 12 along with speculating it cost WVU significantly more than 100k to get him.
  13. Saw that penn state currently has 2 scholarships players on its roster. Will be interesting to see what happens there
  14. You are a 100% correct. I’d gladly take him as well but he’s gotta be willing to play primarily point. Hoibergs offense doesn’t work with a 2 or a 3 that can’t shoot. Hell Atleast with wilcher the scouting report probably says he can shoot it so teams have to guard him. He’s probably the best possible reasonable addition we can make through the portal even, but that’s only if he’s willing and able to be a starting PG for us. Doesn’t make sense at other positions IMO
  15. No, I assume wilcher hasn’t left yet because the coaching staff has given him some kinda guarantee they won’t recruit over him. I wouldn’t take salis over Keisei or Lawrence or Lloyd at the 2/3 positions. If he wants to come be the point here or the first/second guy off the bench by all means bring him in.
  16. There isn’t enough minutes here for him in that scenario unless you think something is going to happen with Lawrence, Lloyd, wilcher, or rice? He’s either gotta be the point if he comes here or some other stuff has to happen for it work IMO.
  17. A lot of soft Iowa fans and people in general out there. No one cared when Clark did the same thing or when she was daring the South Carolina player to shoot it a few days ago
  18. Well Robin might be guessing just as much as me and you lol. I’d expect him to land in Arizona but we will see. Unless he’s gonna play pure point for us I’m not sure if he fits with what we need to do to be successful anyways.
  19. Not exactly the group of programs I would expect to have reached out to a former 5 star
  20. I still hope he is a very good player except for the one day a year we play them. him being a star would be very good for the state of Nebraska at the prep level IMO
  21. The NCAA coming out saying they basically won’t approve immediate transfers for a second time unless you have graduated should slow down transfers some what. now just need to put some guard rails up on the whole NIL side of things.
  22. I’ve seen many Twitter threads by creighton fans explaining why in fact that wasn’t a foul or how you can’t call that foul there as if that makes any sense either.
  23. I can assure you the hate for them is alive and well in northeast Nebraska.
  24. Adam Howard appears to have also recently started following jace carter a 6’5” guard outta UIC who I haven’t heard much social media buzz about but had decent numbers at UIC. Also Chance McMillan a 6’3” guard outta Grand Canyon who’s had a fair amount of buzz. I like how they are looking at guys with multiple years of eligibility left atleast
