They need to simply make all scholarships/NIL agreements a two year deal for both the player and the school with the exception of your coach leaves/quits everything resets. 2 year agreements give both party’s some stability, doesn’t necessarily allow schools to throw crazy money at everyone and anyone because they have to pay it back to back years, and still gives the players a chance to move on halfway through their college careers if they want.

He was on campus a lot as a recruit and we made his final four schools at that time. So maybe there’s a chance with us having minutes open at the 4

I wonder how tough it is to recruit the portal when your not necessarily looking for a starter, sure PF or SG/PG may be open but how hard is it to pitch a big or small forward to transfer in to come off the bench?

Feels like Blaise hurts the least of the 3 transfers so far. Good rebounder and defender but just lost a year of develop offensively. Do we see a big second year jump from diop? Skill certainly seems to be there, needs to hit the weight room hard and put on a good 15 pounds

He could shoot it from deep and get to the bucket as a freshman without having the ball in his hands much. And we are complaining about his defense and that he was hunched over when he ran….

Hot take as I would be shocked( or things are going very poorly) if frager is a back end of the rotation guy as a freshman. I also thought from the minutes he got in close games that rice would be a dude for us in coming years though

Refs in general in the woman’s tournament seem to be brutal this years. Refs in the men’s tournament are inconsistent but for the most part seem to know what they are doing. Refs in the woman’s tournament seem to not know what they are doing at times lol

Such a bummer to get back to back dud performances from Shelley and Potts. Felt like if we got 1 or 2 more threes or point blank shots to go in during those first three quarters we woulda had a real shot in the 4th quarter. Gotta make sure we keep Potts this offseason, hopefully the rumors are just people stirring things up. Then need to get a transfer 6’0 combo guard that can attack the rim and defend other teams studs. A 6’4” back up center would be really nice too. the future feels super bright even with todays set back

Hear me out here, and I realize not everyone will return next year but the athleticism upgrades might already be on the bench aside from a 6’8 PF that can shoot the rock

I just started following the husker women closely this year(having 2 daughters will do that to a guy I guess) and I’ve been pretty confused by the fans that don’t like her as a coach. we won last night based on us having an offensive scheme and them just playing 1 on 1 basketball IMO which to me is the definition of coaching. I’d say the only athlete we had on par with them speed/agility wise is white and she’s 5’6” yet we still found a way to win by finding and hitting open threes. she’s also recruiting at what I would say is a high level the last 2-3 years with those results showing this year i don't get the hate

Have we ever even seen him play in an exhibition game or a scrimmage while at Nebraska? It’s just the weirdest thing as it seems he looks the part of at minimum being a rotation player in the BIG 10. Maybe it is just all the dad being over controlling. I’ll be interested to see what level of program interest he receives once he’s in the portal.

Guys just don’t want to compete for minutes these days, shame because competition is what he needed IMO. Would be surprised if he landed in another power conference but we will see

After watching him in person a few times in high school I thought we shoulda offered him back then. Glad things have come full circle and he gets to represent the state of Nebraska in his final season

Good for the 2 guys on that forum that must have Atleast half a brain to say experienced 6’3 PGs don’t just grow on trees. Idk anything about the other PGs on Iowa but sounds like they are short, not much for the weight room, and the other options a walk on.

Might just be looking for a place that values defense and hustle?

That injury really hampered his lateral movement ability, a grad transfer pg like I believe he is would probably be the best way for us to go IMO.

I am hopeful we bring in allick and find another PG target to go after. Thinking sallis takes the NIL pay day from wake forest

Class D for football and class C and D for basketball you basically have to be a co/op or a religious school to compete for a championship these days. Hard to find enough serious players and parents in most small towns not to mention the money aspect of it all.

Ya seems like a pretty easy choice unless he just wants to come back home and play for a year which would be great for us lol i don’t think he’s a starter here tho where as he started for New Mexico and like basketballjones said he was looking for a bigger role
