    This is like watching a youth basketball game. Any pump take and our defense is biting for the fake and leaving their feet. Just no discipline. We are fortunate Wisky has gone a bit cold and has missed some wide open shots. Need to take advantage and pull our collective heads out of our butts.

    For some perspective, the Big ten road win percentage is 29%, lowest of the power 5 conferences. It's tough to win on the road but admittedly we make it look close to impossible at times.

    So we earned two Quad 2 wins last night. Our win against Ohio State moved us up 9 spots in the NET to #46. The win also helped Northwestern move up 5 spots to #73, now within Q2 territory. Obviously, pretty fluid but now 3-3 in Q1 and 2-2 in Q2.

    Yep, every team pretty much has the ability but it's really about the mentality. Effort and intent to be physical has been there recently and now we need to carry that into the road. Guards have also done a much better job of crashing down and initiating contact with an offensive player.

    With about 10 or 12 minutes left in the first half, after a Mast missed layup, I commented to my son that Mast is more of a liability at this point and wasn't sure why he was out there . Fast forward to now and I can confidently say I will not apply to be the next coach at Nebraska when it opens again in the future.

    I want to see growth this half and see us close a game out convincingly and with a double digit win. Avoid the nasty scoring drought over the final 10 minutes of the game and get the bench in for the final few minutes. Yep, getting greedy here when I should certainly be satisfied with just a win

    Yeah, bad assumption that the Net and Kenpom were relatively close but I suspect these tighten up as the year goes on and would be really surprised if NW isn't Q2 in the Net when it's all said and done.

    Up two spots to #49 after the win and NW only dropped two spots to #61...so solidly a Q2 win and should remain that way.
