Perhaps we can replace his production but his infectios personality will be impossible to replace. I am glad he is getting this exposure, he deserves it!

KEISEI!!!! On Fire!

Ok, in my excitement, I misspelled Brice's name. I am remanding myself to HHC prison where other grammar and spelling abusers reside. I probably should have to write 100 sentences on a chalk board where I properly use a semi-colon. I probably won't return; although , one day I hope to join all of you again. @hhcmatt can you please fix? Thanks!

If we were being 100% transparent here, I suspect this would say he is coming to town Wednesday evening to sign NIL paperwork and will announce his decision Thursday. Just a hunch!

For at least an hour or two (hopefully!), I think we still have enough on the roster to field a starting five next year.
Williams
Gary
Mast
Hoiberg
Jacobsen
Grace as our sixth man
Burt to fill out the rotation
We're fine guys - this lineup could beat a Juwan Howard led Michigan team any day of the week.

We are looking at Juco as well. So our new players could seemingly come high school, foreign market, junior college or the transfer portal.

I have to wonder who we have lined up to come here for JL to leave
This is the most logical conclusion to draw. I don't believe that another program came with a larger bag of money that we couldn't or refused to match. The timing of his announcement also leads to this conclusion. The players' exit meetings were over a week ago and he is later than most in entering their name in the portal. We have been reaching out to numerous players, as have most programs. I can only surmise, and maybe hope, we have some irons in the fire we feel very confident in that caused JLaw to question his role and playing time going forward.
Regardless, I wish JLaw the best. He was pivotal to the team's succuss down the stretch this year.

Rick Pitino strikes me as a guy so self-centered he didn't watch his kid's game out of contempt for being excluded from the tourney.
Actually, I can confirm with 100% certainty that slick Rick was actually in attendance in Memphis. He walked out of the stadium right past us at the conclusion of the first session. He did not look particularly thrilled

Nothing ever is a sure deal. I do worry that we get the right dudes to come here. A lot of teams with a lot of needs out there. Bottom line, in Fred we trust.
Yeah, last year I was very worried about bringing in the right pieces to replace Walker, Griesel and Bandoumel. However, now that Fred has proven he can identify, recruit, and replace those types of players with similar types or upgraded types of players, I feel much more confident Fred and staff will do the same this offseason. The lesson I learned from last year is that the pieces we land may not be the ones everyone is talking about now and that's ok as long as they find the right pieces to fit and to keep moving this thing in a positive direction. I agree it's in Fred we trust at this point.

I don't see him doing spin dribbles into the lane to get to the rack like some of the aTm players did
Please don't bring this up...it's painful and retraumatizing

WARNING...take this for what it's worth. I received this from an anonymous source. No clue whether or not it has any validity. Read on if you wish.
Keisei Tominaga Petitioning for another year
Heard from someone in the student service/housing that Keisei/University are petitioning for another year due to a hardship during his first year at JUCO surrounding the language barriers. Apparently there is a precedent from years ago involving an ice hockey player with a similar situation.
Keisei still not sure on what he wants to do it, but wants to keep the options open.
I would love to believe this is possible but I can't see how this argument would hold any weight. He played significant time in both year's at JUCO and appears to have averaged 16+ points a game both seasons based off his Huskers.com bii. He clearly seemed to have gotten a full five years of playing time. Really hope there is a loophole to exploit but I am skeptical.

There's no date on the practice film, so recent could mean a variety of things. However, he looks pretty good in that film. Shooting, driving, pull-up.
There was nothing on the D end that I saw in the film shared. So there is that tid-bit. Maybe this was film from early early in the season? And to add on to this...perhaps in the hundreds of hours of practice, he found two minutes worth of clips that show him to be a highly effective player. I think any of the scout guys and walk-ons could do this as well. Just not enough context for me to make any sort of informed evaluation. I'm sure the low major and mid-major offers he gets will tell the story.

Funny story...we are in Memphis and were walking back to our hotel last night after dinner. Out of nowhere, Tominaga and Burt came zooming past us on electric scooters. We of course told them Go Big Red and Tominaga, as always, was smiling as if he were having the time of his life. I left the encounter praying he didn't crash on his scooter. I've heard of no crash this morning so I believe my prayers were answered and I can claim a small piece of this victory today!

112 for us on Friday. If we win, we will likely sit in the same section as we wouldn't want to mess with good karma. If we lose, we won't be in that section (or Arena) on Sunday!
