5 out of 7 years finishing 10th or worse.  One year got hot, one year conference was down and schedule was weak and didnt make the tourney.  Great, i get it.  You love Miles.  Fact is he hit his ceiling and couldnt get over the hump and be consistent to compete.  7 years with his 8 lookimg at a total rebuild made sense to move on, especially if at the time you knew you could get Fred.

Again, easy to say in the moment.  Finishing in the bottom 4 every year but 2 isnt where this program should be.

I'd take Mark Turgeon in a heartbeat.  No clue why you wouldn't want him.

I think you need to let it go as well as the Miles narrative.  Its not changing.  They had 1 good win that year and reversed it in the tourney.  The had chances and blew it.  It sucks but it is what it is.  Again it was followed up by another bottom finish when expectations were high.  Dont give me the Copeland injury cause things were trending down prior to that. 

Adolf Lewandowski had a better record than our current coach. Maybe we find a phone booth and try to dial him up?
 
Nobody's going to rehire our old coaches; who cares if somebody liked one former coach and you don't, and vice versa? It's a weird flex. It was a much simpler time when we would get into discussions about how unobtainable Hoiberg would've been for this program and how we need to focus on coaches who had other means of proven success.

Not to nit pick, but 2 out of 7 isn't near half of the time and that 19 win season was with a 6-14 conference record, which put us in the bottom four of the B1G and is where his team's resided in every other season that we didn't finish in the top 4. If his teams would have finished in the middle of the pack a couple of those years, he probably would still be here. I thought Tim was a good hire at the time (I thought Doc and Collier were good hires at the time as well) but I also thought it was the right move to move on from him. Having said that and as others have already said, I never thought in my wildest dreams that we would be where we are today under Hoiberg. Absolutely unbelievable.

Miles' San Jose team is 0-10 in conference right now, can we let go of the narrative that we lost something with his firing? Maybe he'll get them turned around eventually, but there are plenty of first-year coaches who have done a lot better this season. And a lot of them inherited hot messes too.
 
He was 52–76 in the BIG over 7 seasons, enough time to prove what he could do. The fact that the Hoiberg era stinks to high heaven doesn't mean the Miles era was acceptable.

Lets see....Maybe Hunter is happy with his role knowing he will be in the league.  The numbers mean very little for NBA scouts and Hunter doesnt have to be the guy at Gonzaga.  To say Bryce is better cause of his role just isnt true.

Here’s a novel idea, what if Bryce/Trey & even Walker decide to return next year because they can’t stand the thought of leaving THEIR University after such a disastrous season? Maybe they want to leave this place in better shape than they found it? Be the group that makes that Sweet Sixteen appearance & saves Fred’s job. Fortune & Fame will always be there but leaving YOUR mark at YOUR Alma Mater is a once in a lifetime chance…

This is an absurd take as far as this game is concerned.  He is largely responsible for our spacing looking tremendous and having the lead.  

Can we get Miles back?  He at least won sometimes and has a great personality and got butts in the seats.
