He looked good but let's just say it wasn't his best performance. Elevating to finish is something that he just can't do and his lack of length hurts him while trying to finish as well. But he moved around pretty well. Just have him set screens for the scorers and let them do their thing and he should be fine.

Looking at his career splits, Nebraska has actually done about as good of a job on him as anyone in the conference. He's shooting under 44% for his career in 5 games against the Huskers and his assist total is down as well (just 13 of them in those games to 15 turnovers). The area Nebraska struggles the most is keeping him off the free-throw line as he's taken more shots from there against Nebraska than against anyone else. Fortunately for the Huskers, he's under 50% on those shots.

Also fun fact: Happ has made one career 3-pointer and it was against Nebraska.

Regardless of what he's done against Nebraska, though, he's unquestionably one of the best players in the country and I'd say you can argue he's the best in the conference ahead of Edwards because of all the ways he impacts the game. He's a double-double threat in any gven game and is one of the best passing big men in the country, not to mention he is such a disruptive force on defense with blocks and steals and his overall mobility.

From what I've been told, it's one of these four and it's on the road. That's my last hint.

Once again the issue for Aguek's camp was the timing. He had been a hard commit for 2+ years. Miles had not hinted at him going to a prep school until AFTER his last go around in AAU ball. Aguek's camp felt slighted bc he no longer had an offer from Nebraska for the original year he committed AND prime recruiting season had ended. So they felt like Nebraska left him with little to no choices bc of the timing.

Now there is always two sides of the story. But i dont want to hijack Akol's thread. I am glad he is on board and am glad that he and his family are mature enough to allow his recruiting process to truly be his own and not in fluenced by his older brothers experience.

That, i think we can all agree on.

Part of that is because he hasn't been cleared to practice fully yet. That hip injury severely weakened one of his legs so they've been trying to build that strength back up.

He has a good frame and a smooth stroke. I don't know if he'll be able to beat out any of the guys ahead of him for playing time this year, especially with how far behind he is right now. But I think he'll be a good player down the road. I touched on him and all the other newcomers in this section of my in-depth roster overview I rolled out this week at Hail Varsity.

I will say I think Dedoch was a little hunched in that picture plus Cope's hair makes him look a little taller than he is, but Chan is definitely a little smaller than you'd like to see as your back-up 4/5 (he said he's working mostly at the 4 but has practiced a bit at the 5).

I stopped by the OSA/Creighton Prep Fall League in Council Bluffs this morning before the football game to check out some Nebrasketball targets. Here's a few highlights if anyone is interested. The last clip of Donovan Williams is him hitting a 3-pointer to tie the game plus a foul, and he hit the free throw which proved to be the game-winner. My favorite play I saw this morning was the up-and-under lefty scoop by Chucky Hepburn. Kid is ridiculous.

I talk to a fair number of coaches, and they don't all talk about their players the way Fehringer did about Green. My first question was "What kind of player is Nebraska getting?" and he honestly wasn't sure how to answer the question because he didn't know where to start. I'm sure there's a little hyperbole in what he said, but the enthusiasm he had for talking up Green isn't something you find every time you talk to a coach.

Anyway, here's the story for those that are interested.

You named two players. Everybody else on the team was average to bad and it doesn't look like they have any recruits coming in that one would expect to make a big impact right away. Getting Trice and King back will help, but unless a bunch of guys make a big leap (which is what didn't happen last year and why I expected them to finish about where they did) I don't see them making a huge leap.

You're right, I didn't have the timeline laid out for when Aguek decommitted, others committed and transfers left. Was just looking at final numbers.
