Need to bring William Kyle home. He's gonna have a lot of offers. He is turning into an absolute monster. Same dawg mentality as Allick, but a bit taller, more explosive and a lot longer.  6'9" with a 7'3" wingspan and 40+ inch vertical. I heard that he led the country in dunks this year. Can't figure out how to verify if that's true.  Summit League DPOY, first team all-conference, conference tournament MVP. Shoots 62% from the field and is a real rim protector. Humble kid, academic all-conference. I'd take him over Omoruyi or any other big in the portal and not because he's from Omaha.

    Bart has him at #2

Double digit victories in 3 straight Big Ten games, including a road game, when's the last time that had happened?

Not in the past 10 years from my quick research.

So funny enough, 2015-2016, Glynn's freshman year, they did.

    - Won at Rutgers by 34

    - Beat Minnesota by 25

    - Won at Illinois by 11

    - Bonus: Won at #11 Michigan State by 1

Since we didn't actually sign Keontae Johnson and he's no longer a recruit, and because the current discussion about him centers around how well he's playing for someone else, it seems like that thread should be moved over here as well.

Sorry, after reflecting on my post I have realized that this question wasn't in good faith at all. Which is quite hypocritical. So I'll edit my question to be an observation:

Many times when you engage with others who have different beliefs than you, your responses comes across to me as not coming from a place of trying to see the other person's side, but instead that you use strawmen arguments to "win." it rubs me the wrong way (and based on many of the recent posts in this thread, I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels that way).

Leaving my original post in for transparency:

This is an honest question here - do you ever enter into an argument in good faith?

The accuser now states Beard might have been acting in self-defense and that she doesn't believe Beard was trying to hurt her.

Texas coach Beard's accuser says he may have acted in self-defense (statesman.com)

I did see that. I'm not really interested into getting into the nuances of domestic violence and why survivors may protect their abusers, so I'll just share the arrest report and say that there's enough red flags for me in the situation to say pass on Beard.

I'd much rather keep rolling the dice on an up-and-coming midmajor coach or a P5 assistant coach.

So he made a mistake (allegedly) when we don't even know all the facts yet.  But coaches like Sean Miller, Kelvin Sampson, etc. have all cheated or done bad things and still coaching and doing very well with their respective schools.  I'd take a coach with a little bit of baggage that can make NU a winning basketball program as opposed to keep being a cellar dweller.  Chris Beard is an extremely good coach and will end up coaching again somewhere depending on how his case turns out.

The arrest affidavit includes enough facts for me to say no thanks. I'll absolutely take a coach with baggage who sent some texts or had an assistant coach pay a player.

If I were Trev Alberts, I'd be on the phone with Chris Beard now to see if he'd have any interest in coaching at Nebraska should the season finish up without NU reaching any post season yet again?  Unless he ends up in jail, I'd take him to try and turn NU hoops program around.

Yeah, no I'm very good on that one.
