On the Volleytalk board it usually comes from someone close to the program (donor). Do not always get a name but do hear about a visit(s).

No matter how you feel about Clark, she is the gift that keeps on giving for WBB.

Sounded like she should have a good chance of making the team as they do not have much cap space and will need rookies making the minimum.

Watched the Nike Hoops Summit on Fox Sports over the weekend and some really good players will be coming into the B1G in the fall. It is not going to get any easier folks.

Currently the 17th pick is the New York Liberty.

She could do both as the WNBA is a May to September league and the WNBL is a October to March league.

A little surprised to see Phelia leave Michigan.

I would think there have been people that have talked to Clark so she should know what she is getting into. The WNBA was a good thing at one time.

Volleyball. Cook's resume speaks for itself. When Cook retires and if it is who I think it will be (DBK) then she should still be paid more than our WBB coach. Again her resume speaks for itself.

So who do we think will win tonight? Myself I see South Carolina in the first game. Think they win by double digits. In the late game think it will be close game between Iowa and UConn. Iowa will need to run as much as possible IMHO. Will also need a big game from Martin, and Affolter or Marshall. If Iowa can run like we know they can I think they win. If it is a slower paced game I think it favors UConn.

Someone with a bit of a chip on her shoulder is OK. Thinking Bella Cravens type. Taking a CV19 year (last year thankfully) or graduate player is OK with me.

i would bet GA will do all he can to keep CC in the 20's
UCONN might not be able to slow down Clark but keeping her teammates from having great nights could be more important. Keeping Martin, Marshall, and Affolter in check will go a long ways in defeating Iowa.

As we discuss minutes of our players thought I would post a little hi-lite of the teams from last night.
UCONN
7 players played
3 starters played all game
USC
8 players played
5 starters all had 30+ minutes
LSU
7 players played
5 starters all had 30+ minutes
Iowa
9 players played
4 starters had 30+ minutes
Taylor McCabe played less than 1 minute

So she was going to play softball as well correct? BB would be out but maybe softball?

Kellie Harper had a .675 win pct. and a .689 conference win pct. and still not good enough in 5 years at TN. Amy Williams has a .552 win pct. and a .489 conference win pct. in 8 years at NE. But I will give props to Amy for moving in the right direction. I said a few years ago Amy needed to bring in some new assistants. They have helped her and the program move in the right direction. It might be slower than I would like but it at least is trending upward.

OSU will be a part of the WCC the next two years.

Hope Kennadi gives herself time to heal completely. I think I remember she had some injury right before the GBB State tourney. Also did she not have a knee injury a year or two? While three sports in HS is not a problem but also assume she does some club stuff as well. that is a pretty busy schedule.

If we could have hit for even the upper 30's on our FG think the outcome would have been different. Agreed their length made it difficult. They recruit length to keep up with Stanford which always has a lot of height. With all the changes in conferences will be interesting to see how teams change. But due think WBB will continue to move to taller players. Still will be room for the 5'3" or 5' 5" player but they will need to bring something special to the table.

Hard to tell when the ref was walking right by her when she spoke. She may had also just mouthed it. She had a rough night and we know the refs can make some bonehead calls and she would had not been the first player to utter those words at a B1G ref. Agree it needs to change or it will continue to get worse.
Ashley Scoggins sues Nebraska.
