The Aztecs have been solid for several years. Must have been an exciting game but due to travel was unable to watch. Hopefully, Miami eliminates UConn.
If Miami wins it's a battle of the beach towns.

I totally agree with what you are saying here. I would love to have many on this board have a round table discussion with Trev about Huskerhoops and what his vision is for the program and what can be done to attract Nebraska High school players to Nebraska basketball.
Maybe start with not handing out football jerseys as recognition for great defensive effort on the hardwood

Must be rough if your family doesn't want you around!
Not just around at least a state away

I feel like San Diego State would be the better California target, but you do you Big 12.

In this day and age of the portal, immediate eligibility (for the most part) and NIL, I’d be more worried if we WEREN’T reaching out to everyone. It’s the Wild West out there. You gotta shoot your shots big and small.
Yeah, but are our big shots big whiffing air balls?

Well I’m officially worried, Ed Chang said he’s heard from Nebraska. He’s gotta be plan Z…he could also be embellishing?
To be fair you and I were both brought back from the brink (dealers choice of what) this season. Anyone feel like talking us back from the ledge once again?

I'm not worried ---yet
I'm mildly worried, but that's probably just the Nebraska basketball fan in me. I hope we're not just casting a giant net and plugging holes the best we can because we're striking out on our plan A and B guys. When does the transfer window close?

Rose actually speculated it's a small minority of Husker fans who hate Creighton.
He might be right on this if he's talking about ALL Husker fans. If he's just talking about Husker basketball fans then I'd venture it's much closer to a 100% than 99% that hate them

Dutcher has a 5 million dollar buyout at San Diego but only ONE if he goes to Minnesota where his Father Coached.
Oof. Not sure you could convince me to leave San Diego to coach at Duke.

So no Tonje and likely no Traudt. Not exactly a stellar Monday.
At least Sunday was good

Thoughts? You call that foul or not? I felt like you gotta swallow the whistle given it’s a tie ball-game. Let the players decide in OT.
Yeah no. I hate it when they swallow the whistle at the end. It rewards bad play.

One day, I dream of a time where we're less focused on suppressing the successes of another program and more focused on how we're doing in March.
Maybe some day we'll have more Elite Eight appearances than some other teams and it just doesn't matter to us how other teams are doing.
Nah. I will always wish despair on their fans.

My question - if you don't already have a consistent program in place, is it even possible to build one in today's free agent world? My guess is no.
See now I go the other way on this thought.

And getting back to the original thread premise, how many are eagerly awaiting that UConn-Creighton matchup for the finale?
Nope. San Diego has been my home town for the last 12 years. And I have to believe that my hatred for Creighton is so strong it will propel those young men of SDSU to a win today.

Can we all please stop hanging our hats on Winning “A” game in the Tournament? Obviously you can go from 0-60 like Florida Atlantic just did & make a Final Four run with the Right Team @ the Right Time…#GBR!!!
You're right. We need to hang our hats on making the postseason first

Well, we’ve reached that point where it’s time to start thinking about the unthinkable. With all the number one seeds out & the bracket breaking especially favorably for said Bluejays, they have a very REAL chance of Winning the whole thing. Do I want to boast from now until forever that we beat the National Champs on THEIR home court? Or do I want to see their hopes dashed in a soul crushing blowout…??? I’m praying for the latter more than you can possibly know. Oh BTW I found an Alonzo Verge Warm-Up today @ Thrift World in Omaha, had his monogram on the Ol tagger.
Silver lining - if they do win it there's a good chance most of their fans will be smothered in their sleep from the wieght of the increased smugness they will now carry with them.
