Allick was 8-22 from 3. He attempted less than 1 three per game and on average made one 3 pointer every 4 games played.

    Rienk Mast was 42-122.
    Andrew Morgan was 12-33.
    Igor Milicic was 56-149.

IMO, we need 2 of these 3 above and we'll be fine, and then Kyle will do things on the court none of our other bigs could do last year.

I expect Brice to carry a much bigger shooting load with Keisei gone, and Griffiths will make a huge leap over his Rutgers production. Lost in all that is Nick Janowski, who I've been really high on and still think can have a role, especially if he comes in this summer and establishes himself as a shooter. We're also still trying to land Essiegan. Also, no one has seen Ahron Ulis shoot a basketball since having Fred Hoiberg coach him for 12 months. I do not think it's unreasonable to think he can match Jamarques' numbers (36-101, 35.6%) while doing everything else at the PG spot better.

Fred Hoiberg is not going to have a roster short on shooters.

What is Fred thinking? I would imagine something like this:

When you have a close-knit group that accomplishes things that haven't been done here in a long time, it hurts personally to lose guys from that team, especially when they're choosing to leave with the option to come back. However, Ramel/Blaise/Matar literally lose us nothing on paper. They can all effectively be replaced by literally adding any 3 transfers with similar body types. Eli wants to play more minutes right now and had potential but was too slow and would not have been a starter here next year. CJ maxed out here and was also too slow and would not have been a starter here next year. Jamarques is the only one that frustrates me (Fred) but I understand because he wants to be a starter as a junior and I was probably honest with him that that is not guaranteed here because we believe Ulis (or another transfer) is our starting PG and Brice and Juwan are not coming off the bench.

Fred had individual meetings with every single player. If anything, these departures should tell you that Mast/Williams/Gary are back because all these guys clearly did not see a path for them to get the minutes they want (or think they deserve) this year. It also tells me Ulis might be better than people think.

Tonight hurts. But I refuse to say this season was a failure. So many good memories from this season. Let's do it again next year.

They were 6-17 at one point.  Would have been cool story.  That was tough to watch.

KPI dropped 1 I believe.  SOR and BPI remained the same.  So heading into selection show

    NET- 33 (8-9 seed range)
    SOR/KPI Avg- 25.5 (6-7 seed range)
    BPI/Pom Avg- 33.5 (8-9 seed range)

Final guess for me is an 8 with an outside shot at a 7.  No way we get a 10, and a very very slim chance we get a 9.  We'll be wearing the home whites round 1!

If this is an 8 seed, the 1 seed will be getting screwed over royally.

With Maryland moving to the top 75, we now have (checks notes....) 2 losses outside of Quad 1!! That's crazy. (One in OT, one we were up 15)

We beat them by 16 in the same place they beat KU, Iowa State, Baylor, BYU and Nova. That’s gotta look good on the resume.

Holysmokes, I too am a 43yo that has made that same blood oath! You asked all the questions that have been rattling around in my brain as of late.

I'm in San Diego and my worst fear is Brooklyn. I have 2 small children and can't justify the gamble in where the game may end up. So I have to leave it up to fate. My hope is Omaha then Salt Lake.

When I first met my now wife, on our second date, I told her my two deal breakers in a realationship.
    (1) I would be going to wherever Nebraska played if they made the tournament because I will see their 1st tournament win. I tell her every year that this is the year! San Antonio was easy because we were childless. Shit has got real for her this last couple weeks knowing she's gonna have the kids alone for 5ish days.
    (2) When I could buy a house I will have another Mastiff...his name is William. He's 5 and between 245 - 255 depending on the day 😂

Your kids’ bedtime routine and trying to ignore the game until you can actually pay attention sounds shockingly similar to mine.

I rarely get to listen to Kent/Jake along with the game due to kids bedtimes, but that is my preferred way to watch.  I was allowed to against Minny, since it was a 5:30 tip, and will do the same on Thursday.  More times than not, I have to pause the game, keep my phone across the house, and catch up to the live action after putting the kids to bed.

But, what I absolutely love, when I can't listen to the radio with the TV, is to replay the audio on the way to work (or at work).  Kent and Jake get me freaking jacked and allow me to experience our wins again.  During games that I can't listen to the radio, something great will happen and I'll say to myself, "I can't wait to hear how Kent reacted to that one!"
