When most of the other team is over 6 foot. I would say that is something that you aren't used to.

Call a time out when we are down 15.  We are getting picked off when they screen and we can’t seem to get free for shots. Which we aren’t making.

This seems like a no-brainer Williams has done a terrific job molding the team into this year's NCAA tournament squad. They were just a breath away from beating Iowa TWICE this year. They had a great run in the B1G tournament. Some success in the NCAA tournament should shout to a lot of talented players that Nebraska is a great place to place basketball. I expect good things going forward.

One thing this seems to say is that the Huskers are not very concerned about this lawsuit that is out there.

Yeah, sure a wart here or there; but what coach doesn't have a few of those blind spots.  Count me in the group that is happy she has been extended.

This contract $$  puts her up the in the higher tier of the B!G, and into the top 25 nationally.

Mulkey (LSU) is highest at about 3.2 mil/year  ! Just above Geno and Staley at about 3 million/yr.

Jaz has to be feeling pressure.  She came back for this, to do something in the NCAA Tournament.  She has been a godsend for the program.  Maybe she will loosen up and have a great game Sunday.  I will hate to see her last game as a Husker.

The refs were doing a terrible job of communicating who fouls were on.  Even had to stop the game and rewatch video to get official scorebook up to date at one time.  Probably delayed the game 5+ minutes? I was glad the correction was a 3rd foul on number 2.  She was tough.

    Really?

I thought the A&M coach was awful.  They had an athletic and physical team; but schematicaly did nothing to leverage them.  The ex-A&M player turned announcer kept referencing their injuries without referencing our injury.  Amy never panicked and despite an underwhelming 4th quarter, pulled out the win.  This Nebraska coach, who many bash, now has a team, that leverages the entire roster, in the top 32 in the entire country.   A team that is now in the top 10% in the country.  A team that had, arguably, it's best player in foul trouble within the first 3 minutes, yet prevailed.

I'm really, really unsure what people want or see when the see this Husker team compete.  But for me, I see a few exceptional players typically perform at a high level, and I see role players who work hard plugging gaps and oftentimes excel when asked.

Here is a brief response to some of the negative comments above:

    "I'm not so sure.

We Played pretty well in the Big Ten Tournament against PURDUE, MICHIGAN STATE and MARYLAND; FORCING IOWA to take US to Overtime for the Championship.

I wonder if the 12-day lay-off between Games may have something to do with our play.

    Anyway, "

yes, there always is.  always!  But I do accept* TA's explanation that this was the basis for it.  Three times  in my own work history (once inside it and twice having a view from outside but very close up) I have seen organizations in a prolonged state of leadership instability. Many positions at multiple levels of management being occupied by people in an "acting capacity". It's a toxic environment with superiors in "lame duck" status and therefore being unable to really be sure that people with comply with the directions they give.  People wondering if they really have to be taking direction from a superior bc they wonder how long he or she will even be there.  Employees wondering who their new boss will be and those in the "acting capacity" not sure that they will be appointed to the position permanently and, if not, if they will have jobs to return to. It can be a real mess.

*accept it as being true and accurate even if incomplete. But I still think he had a responsibility to put the enterprise and his staff above his personal interests.  He was a rare island of stability in a very unstable ocean and his leaving only accentuates the instability.

I don't live in Nebraska and I haven't in years, but I do work for the university.  That being said, I don't think much of the governor getting involved in this when in his statement he notes he doesn't fully understand or know Alberts' reasons for leaving.  Lots of people are implying Trev didn't feel like he was getting the support he needed from higher ups.  In what capacity?  He was just given a massive raise and contract extension.  Could it be he doesn't like being questioned about certain things by the higher ups (such as the findings in the report released last fall about his time at UNO, and the Scoggin lawsuit)?  I will always be suspicious of people who expect blind loyalty.

As far as the change in leadership, we employees knew for a while Carter was leaving.  It takes time to hire a solid president.  Heck, it takes forever to even hire decent faculty in my department (often 1 or 2 years minimum, because it's difficult to recruit people to live in Nebraska).  My main department was without a chair for almost 4 years.  As far as the BoR being slow, they are actually still on course given past hires.  The last thing NU needs is to hire the wrong person as president.

yup.  he put his personal interests ahead of his contract, his responsibility, people in the Athletic Dept, and the fan base.  Boo!  And he let all his supporters find out only via leaks from the TX media.

I am pretty sure that the staff will be sniffing around.  The cool thing though is that we received a lot of national publicity playing Iowa so tough on two occasions and winning once.
So not only will we be sniffing; but players may be seeking our phone number as well.

Be nice to get a post with two or 3 years left.  Potential to back up Markowski for a year and then take over for 1 or 2 years after that.  My way out hope was Mendelson would be that person by giving up VB and concentrating on BB.  Not to be.  But Huskerpapa is right.  We are getting a whole lot more attention lately from our latest games but also including how positive women sports are treated at NU by the university and the teams fans.

Yeah...I heard this from one of my people; but I heard it was more speculation rather than rumor.  I also heard that the family is happy that Natalie is here.
So although anything is possible, I am going to guess that she remains for year two.

I thought I remembered someone on HHC mention around mid-season that Potts might be a potential transfer.  However, the memory ain't as good as it used to be.  It would really hurt to lose her.  I've thought all season how much she could improve with an off-season in the weight room and to work further on her play in the paint.  I was was afraid she might 'break' during B1G play with how willowy thin she is banging around with the wide-bodies, but she took all the beatings and tacklings and improved in the last month.
