  1. I'm proud of our gals for getting to the semis! Lid was on the basket for most of the 2nd half. Now NU will have a chance to rest and reset, then go to work on executing a little better in the NCAAs. We are NOT a bubble team so the season will continue- that is the good news about being in this position this year. GO BIG RED!!!
  2. Go Hoosiers! Though I hate to admit the other IU team has the advantage with one less game and they will have the best player on the court tomorrow.
  3. One q left so keep fighting. You've made it this far and this far in the game. Give it your best effort all way around. Certainly don't want this to go south score wise.
  4. we need to come get the ball assertively when we are passing. that last turnover where Clark cut in and stole it due to a lack of doing that.
  5. If not for Sam mostly no offense for us. We do indeed need to start shooting better to have a chance. Also wonder though Clark is quick if legs starting to get tired is the reason she keeps getting around her defender now and getting and-1 opps.
  6. We're in this game. A bit disappointing because if we hit a few more of those good looks inside we have the lead at half. Let's reset and try to come up with something to keep the ball out of Clark's hands a little more (I realize it's a challenge). Go out and take it ladies! GBR!
  7. Even if they changed the call because they deemed Alexis inside the circle, as Jeff Griesh noted they should have looked at Hillmon throwing an elbow to her as she attacked the basket. But as noted before, Naz is pretty much treated differently because of her star status.
  8. What a gritty hard-fought win. Back and forth and we threw the last punch. Big win!
  9. YES! Stupid shot Michigan!!!!
  10. gained 8 points on them in the 3rd. Keep it up ladies!
  11. Well what can you say except a really good 1st q turned into an even worse 2nd! Hopefully at halftime they can reset and restratagize. GBR! Let's come out and get this done!
  12. A really good performance overall. Key players stepped up big time- esp Shelly of course with her 9 threes and everything she contributed. Now it really gets interesting with a rematch with Michigan. GO BIG RED!!!
  13. I like that coach is using the bench to presumably try to keep starters fresh. Let's see how the bench contributes in the 2nd half.
  14. The "natural" fan assessment in this bracket that concerns me would be that UM has the "revenge factor" if we win and match up with them again. Also, they would want to redeem themselves from that blowout loss to Iowa in the reg season finale. Still, of the top 4 teams I think they are the best draw for us to play and try to advance to the semis. Exciting time of the year! GBR!!
  15. Very good effort overall by the ladies to get the W and pull away in the 2nd half. Great group of seniors too to recognize on Senior day! GBR!!
  16. Issie's been hot off of the barbie also.
  17. Yes, NW, keep giving JS that look!
  18. Keep f And that's not an easy thing to do.
  19. Great drive and finish by Allison on the fast break!
  20. too many missed chances in the paint overall tho. You got in right ahead of me RD.
  21. Finally draw a foul in the paint with the Widener drive. Too many TOs for one half of BB.
  22. Hopefully NW cools down from 3 from here on out.
  23. I just want to chime in and give the ladies props for getting it done on the road. Wasn't able to listen to most of the game. We saw last time you don't want to take anything for granted, and being where UW sits in the standings it was a must win really. Now we want to protect the home court against a very capable NW team. Exciting stretch ahead as we finish the season. Keep fighting Red! I like everyone else wonder about Coley. Hopefully it's not because she has already made a decision to transfer or anything like that. Obviously she has potential and I would like to have her length, quickness, skill and overall athleticism on the court for years to come.
  24. Very, very well done gals under the circumstances! All in all, after witnessing in person, I thought they played well. A lot of key contributors of course. Jaz' 12 assists at the point along with her points were big. Weidner stepped up big time. Only saw highlights of her in HS so didn't realize she could be this good already. Haiby continued to attack the basket well. Next two are big obviously because one is at home at the end of the reg. season going into the B1G tourney, and the other is Wisc., a team near the bottom. Hang in there ladies and try to stay focused and committed to playing at your highest level.

    Coach Love

For sure. And the collateral damage is we lost a player that is a good dribbler and a really good shooter. As alluded that is peripheral compared to the real issue. We have other good guards that will hopefully step up.
