That would be one of the dumbest moves ever if they let him go.  He has won 20 or more games every season at Ohio State except one.  He has finished in the Top 5 in the conference standings in 4 of his 6 seasons.  But I wouldn't be surprised if they parted ways if they don't have a strong finish to end this year.  

I don't think you are the only one.  Many people were down on CJ but he proved everyone wrong.  I like people like you Husker4theSpurs who are willing to be critical (which is fair) but also provided praise when appropriate.  It's easy to always fault or be negative but never come back and provide praise to same person when it's deserved.  Most people (including myself) can fall in the trap.  Great job CJ.  You deserve some high praise this year as this team would not be where it's at without you.

I have been an outspoken critic of Wilcher. He has been much more consistent and seems to keep his head better and not get down as easily. Kudos to CJ!

Give a ton of credit to Nate Loenser for forming our identity 

A couple details that you simply shouldn't unsee:
- Mast playing the majority of the game with cotton stuffed up his nose.  That is hard to do, to say the least = stud!  Will he have to go back to his mask?
- Williams was questionable with a bum ankle = beast!  Could you tell?
- Sam with his energy, steals, team first attitude = inspirational/unsung!
- Keisei & CJ shooting performance = money!
- All the players and the staff unity, effort, performance = TEAM!
- Finally, the crowd.  Wow.  Yeah the weather held some back; but those of us that were there were loud, proud and treated to one of top tier wins I have witnessed.  As far as games at PBA, perhaps one of the top two games!

Agreed.  It was probably closer to 10,000 in actual attendance.  Still a great crowd that was into the game the whole time.  I had seats in the student section right behind Purdue's bench and we stood the entire game.  Great atmosphere!!!

Who's forgotten that? His record is only part of the issue. It was the play on the court. He could have done what he did last season his 1st season and been competitive, but he didn't do that. Do your remember the play on the court? Remember the offense? YOLO 3 balls. No, I quit giving him the benefit of the doubt by the end of his 3rd season. 
He was in charge of that mess and we can thank Trev for forcing him to make the necessary changes that have resulted in this team playing competitive basketball.
If he has the type of season that we are all expecting then I'm willing to reset everything and consider the '22-'23 season his year 1. 
 
Those first 3 years where so bad that it he would have win nearly 75% of his games for the next 4-5yrs just to get his overall record to .500. 

And if Fred does get us to the tournament and we actually win a game, our level of recruits will jump dramatically.  Hoiberg's name still cares alot of weight.  I agree it has taken longer than expected but think he has finally figured out what it takes to win in the Big 10 and how to recruit and build a roster.
