classic shot percentage matchup. neither team is big on rebounding for second chances, so this is coming down to who brings their shots. and probably how fouls are called. james is the wildcard for us. if he plays better, our chances are pretty good. if he's hucking 3s like no tomorrow and missing most of them, we're probably toast. 

they've been tough at home so far. It'll take our best road effort of the year to beat them at Assembly. 
 
At this point, I'm pretty resigned to hoping to pick off road wins from the bottom feeders who are tough enough in their own right. 
But it would sure be nice to have one good quality road win this season. Why not IU?

This is not quite correct. In only one of the components is the scoring margin capped at 10. The efficiency components have no such cap and therefore you still benefit from winning big, which is how we are #13.

Yeah, remember last year how animated that bench was all the time? Last night, they looked more tired sitting there than the players on the court. I wish I could go beyond mere gut instinct, but something's not right in there. Reminds me of that 14-15 team that returned everyone and their chemistry had gone to sh*t. Not saying this is that, but just the change in the enthusiasm level reminds me of that. Hopefully just garden variety fan worry-wart-ing, but I dunno....something's off. 

We kept Stevens in check most of the night as it took him 20 shots to score 13 points. After Stevens started taking it at Cope in the paint at the 7 minute mark the decision to switch Roby onto him and have Cope follow around their center ended up being the right move.

Yeah, it's not a good look right now.    That might have been the least amount of enthusiasm from a team that I have seen.   The bench was particularly morose the last 30 seconds, when one would have expected some cheering and celebrating.  Personally I think the burden of high expectations all year is taking a toll.   We seem to do better when we're preseason 13th.   I hope the switch can be flipped and guys can get back to having some fun.

Marquette made a lay-up with 0.8 seconds left. Creighton throws it the length of the court, but forgot to touch the ball.  Marquette inbounded under their own basket.  Drained a 3 just as the buzzer sounded to force OT.

Rutgers huge upset of OSU. Can't take anyone in this conference for granted. Ever.

With the angst and hand wringing going on, it is time for some good news.  James Palmer, Jr. has made the top 25 list for the John Wooden Award that is presented to best college player each year.  Think about it...James is considered one of the top 25 players in the country.
