  1. Also, per a Robin Washut retweet we are not one of the schools Alan Griffin is considering.
  2. Another thing we might might need to consider is the new transfer rule. Very possible it could be implemented as soon as the 2021-22 season. Kids rarely want to RS anymore, atleast voluntarily. So for some of our younger players, it might make sense to stick it out one more year and see if they can carve out, keep, or expand their role. And if not, they can leave after next season if they choose and will possibly (probably?) be able to play immediately at their new school.
  3. Hard to say. We are looking at four players leaving the program, before exhausting all of their eligibility, from the 2019-2020 season: - Samari Curtis - Jervay Green - Dachon Burke - Cam Mack (not official; but the media mentions how unlikely it is that he will return in EVERY article that comes out about roster attrition) Wouldn't be surprised if we see one more. Also wouldnt be surprised if thats it for this season. However, more than one more would surprise me.
  4. Read in an OWH article today that HCFH averaged 7 new players per season during his time at Iowa State. The article said that that number did not include sit-out guys who were becoming newly eligible (meaning they sat out the previous season as a member of the team). Just thought it was applicable to this thread and an also interesting bit of information.
  5. Are HCFH and Co. doing interviews rn? Anyone know of his next media appearance? Would love to hear his take on the current roster situation. With the grad transfer Marfo or the possible reclassification of Sanogo, it is clear we are looking for an immediate upgrade in size/rebounding. We already filled our PG need with Kobe Webster. Other than that it seems the staff is comfortable holding serve with the rest of the roster as most of the contact/offers being put out are to sit out guys. *This is me also acknowledging that it is super early in the transfer/attrition game so things can (and probably will) change.
  6. Ed Crosswell (La Salle) and Brycen Goodine (Syracuse) are both committed to Providence so they are off the board. Also, we did not make the top five for Erik Stevenson (Wichita State).
  7. OWH transfer tracker has been updated to include JUCO 6'2 PG Malik Zachary. He has three years of eligibilty left and put up solidnstats in JUCO (8.5 pts, 3.9 reb, 5.6 asst). I know I have seen him mentioned in the recruiting thread previously. Just wondering if anyone has heard of any recent contact or uptick in interest by the player/staff or is the OWH just late to the party?
  8. We have had a couple extreme cases of late roster attrition. I dont follow enough of CBB in its totality to know if that is a common occurence or not.
  9. Think we have, as close as you can in CBB, a final answer when it comes to roster attrition by the end of the week? Cant remember how long this normally takes to shake out.
  10. I dont know enough about Mayen so I will wait until I see him on campus. As for Cross, Im not as sold on him as others are that he can consistently be a productive wing in HCFHs offense. I also dont think he is capable of being the 5 either. But im willing to wait and see what he looks like after another year of reshaping his body.
  11. Did some quick fact checking. Looks like only in one season did HCFH start two players that were 6'8 or taller (6'8 and 6'9). And the 6'9 player only started 12G. Traditionally he starts a PG, three wings between 6'4-6'6, and a 6'8 guy big that is either a rim runner/point forward type. So we can either expect to see some attrition in the front court or we are perhaps seeing a change in philosophy by the coaching staff after year one in the B1G. Obviously all of this is dependent on Adama Sanogo becoming a Husker.
  12. If we do land him, I wonder if this reflects HCFH adjusting to B1G basketball. In addition to Sanogo (6'9), we would have Derrick Walker (6'8), Lat Mayen (6'9), Yvan Ouedraogo (6'9), and Kevin Cross (6'8...). If I recall correctly, HCFH didnt play traditional front courts (in size, weight, and skill) at Iowa State. Thats a lot of bodies for the one big he seemed to roll out in his lineups. Unless he is going with a bigger front court to help match up in the B1G maybe?
  13. But on a serious note, I have no doubt he can put up numbers but my concern is can he do it with somewhat similiar efficiency as he is currently.
  14. Dont get me started im one of the best when it comes to way too early and unnecessary projections.
  15. With that number, I wonder if its a program issue. I will be interested to see what the final statistics are when its all said and done. And whether or not the increase in transfers continued this year or not.
  16. Realistically, what kind of stats can we expect Teddy Buckets to put up? I think Jervay was a few points behind in PPG but put up roughlt the same FG% and 3pt% as Teddy Allen against the same level of competition.
  17. I wonder if the Coronavirus situation will slow roster attrition and player movement this offseason. Being that coaches arent able to fly around the country as much (i think). Could create a little more reluctance in players leaving their current situation for a new one where they arent able to meet with the new staff and teammates and see the new campus and facilities. Just a thought.
  18. Your statement is implying that people are thinking Kevin Cross and Derrick Walker are competing for the starting 4 spot. From what I can gather, most people think Derrick Walker will be competing with Yvan Ouedraogo for playing time at the 5.
  19. Wow your talking about Colorado... im an idiot
  20. Welp first one and my projections are already wrong oh well it was fun. I wonder if he finds his way back home at CSU, Denver, or UNC. Goodluck to him wherever he ends up.
  21. I dont think anyone is predicting players they want gone but instead players they think will leave. I agree that Cross would not see much, if any, minutes at 5 next season. But I also dont think he will see many minutes period. Which is why i think he will leave.
  22. Still early in the game, but so far (aside from Marfo, but he will be a hard pull) we arent looking to immediately upgrade our size or shooting.
  23. Here is who we are in on as of right now for transfer szn: GRADUATE TRANSFER - Kevin Marfo (Quinnipiac) 6'8 F SIT OUT TRANSFER - Ed Croswell (La Salle) 6'8 F sit one play two - Erik Stevenson (Wichita State) 6'3 G sit one play two - Brycen Goodine (Syracuse) 6'3 G sit one play three
