Some people are glass half full types instead of worst case. You can make the opposite of your case if you want as well. JPJ, Petteway, Pitchford all did nothing at there first school but turned into all conference type guys. Just because Green didnt translate doesn’t mean all Jucos especially guys with previous P5 experience will. Who knows what will happen and you might be right in the end. However I would not be surprised if one or more of Banton, Allen, Stevenson, King, or who knows develops into a all conference guy. Things change, kids develop, hopefully a couple of ours pan out and we are greatly improved next year.

I know but I thought they just tested him earlier today when he showed signs and confirmed it later and canceled the game. Could be off in the times but that’s what it appears.

I don’t get why people think Easley will leave. He came to Nebraska knowing he was paying his own way and it would take time to earn PT. The PT came much faster and he only paid 1 semester. I would bet he gives it at least 1-2 more years to see what happens, unless he does like Fred which would shock me. I don’t think Akol’s shot is his problem, it is actually decent. He just does not seem to understand playing on the wing, movement, passing, ball handling, etc are bigger issues. Probably take a couple more years to figure it out since he has always played the 5. I am good with him staying longer. We will have enough open spots already

They have not even been here a year. Not sure what some of you expect, top 50 guys just do not show up magically on your campus. Give them some time please, your going to give yourself a stroke.

Miles was great at these. I think anyone can go if you know someone who buys tix which are usually limited. Not for sure on that but had a couple friends who are members and it used to be at Shadow Ridge CC.

Everyone knows the streak is sustained by some corps buying leftover tickets, who cares? I don’t think average ticket holder cares but i think the coaches like telling recruits about the streak and it sounds good on TV. Therefore it helps us and hope it keeps going as long as it can. Never will understand why some want it to end.

Cross has been horrid lately and did not seem to care either today. Was checked out on the sideline too, be surprised if he’s back.Not sure who plays worse Def Cam or Cross, they are atrocious on def. Mack does not communicate and loses his man all the time and as soon as we hit a bad spot his head drops and he pouts, hate it.

coaching and questionable defense also hold MN back

Harvey Pearlman was a disaster for NU Athletics period. Steve Petersen firing Frank Shawn Eichorst was as bad as Mike Riley We hired incompetent leaders and it leads to coaching issues

He is just to nonchalant IMO. Just casual finger rolls instead of going up strong. Probably worked great in HS and JUCO but not in the Big10. He is in a funk defensively and shooting the ball also. Hope he breaks out soon.

His first was legit, ran a guy out of bounds. Second was a questionable reach also. That charge was beyond horrific. Start to finish that ref crew was extremely bad. Thought Fred was getting a T on the Burke no call

Even then you get 5-6 high level games out of 30, instead of 20 in big boy conferences. They might get him and I will cheer for him wherever he goes. I still think most major talents want the challenge of going against the best players on prime time TV. Not late night games very few people watch against weak opponents.

I don’t think with Fred it makes much difference. 2-4 seem to be fairly interchangeable

I like Zaga it’s a great program and definitely not saying he won’t make it going there. More why would you want to if you could play at a major power school in a major conference. Playing vs Duke, UNC, etc every week sounds better than Portland, Santa Clara, Pepperdine’s of the world. Maybe he is someone that wants something more low key but if I am a top 100 guy I want to play with and against the best on a regular basis, it just a cou-le early season games a year.

I hope Cam stays, he has a lot to work on but if he does he’ll get a shot. Defense consistent shooting, especially FTs Finishing strong at the rim. That will get much tougher in NBA Ball handling, he is good but if he would improve to above average with his athleticism no one will stay in front of him.

Read a good article on him today. Coach loves him and only reason he has not played as much is injuries, just can’t get healthy. I hope Akol fills out the same way. Aquek looks pretty strong these days

Great Coach, great program but not sure why top kids would go there. Play the vast majority of your games against low level programs in small venues with limited TV. Would think you’d want top level competition and visibility to get to the NBA. will be surprised if he goes there.

He was front row of student section. Was on his phone a lot and I would guess his mother and maybe a brother or friend were with him. Hope it went well, we need the help

Cam was responsible for 3-5 wide open 3s when he just totally lost where his man was. He was clearly not in the game last night. Hopefully he gets back to his normal self

He actually shoots it well from the outside, I watch him a lot in warmups. I think the ball handling and just basketball knowledge playing the wing are probably his big hurdles. Wish he had Thor’s feel for the game.
