You don't have to worry about Alexis and Allison being short on desire to improve. Their High School careers are a great reflection of that.

I don't think either Stewart or Coley leaves. Stewart continues to improve just like her sister did at Iowa. Her injury set her back right when we were getting ready for prime time. As for Coley I agree she should be a wing. She is not physical enough for the inside. She tries hard but gets knocked around quite a bit. Not her natural position.

Sam M. in the OWH article about Ruby leaving said "after losing A. Scoggins, M. Cayton and R.Porter we have room to pickup more players. As of this latest announcement by Ruby we will have only one scholarship available since we need 2 for incoming freshman. Yes that will probably change as we have not heard what S.Haiby, B. Cravens. T. Brady and N. Dilliard are going to do.

Just remember that Alexis is just a freshmen. We sometimes have memories of past great post players but let's compare their freshman years to be fair.

She did mention around graduation time of possibly playing pro ball in Europe. Scholarships are not guaranteed in situations like hers. Maybe she will look for a school that will help pay for her doctorate.

Another factor in that game was that was our 3rd game in a row whereas for Iowa it was their second. With the Creighton versus Iowa game they both had a day off so equal footing. Our biggest problem occurs when we don't play at home. Lack of mental toughness. As previously mentioned a press would help as well.

It must have been really painful for Iowa as Lauren Jensen who played for Iowa as a freshman last year and then transferred to Creighton this year led the team with 19 points, seven rebounds and the game winning shot. She probably brought in a lot of knowledge about Iowa as well.

12 seed Belmont just did it again beating 5 seed Oregon in double overtime!!!

Gonzaga was a 5 seed last year and got beat by 12 seed Belmont. I'm sure they were more then ready for us with a year to think about that loss.

If you go back and review the schedule we didn't play well in road games. So so on neutral sites. Except for the Michigan win in the Big Ten Tourney all our great games were at home. At this point we are not mentally tough enough. A lot of that comes from coaching and experience. The right new assistant coach can help in that area as well. It's all about being mentally tough enough to take that next step.

We haven't yet demonstrated the ability to play a true road game even close to how we play at home. That is somewhat understandable with a young team. This is new territory for us and we will learn a lot about ourselves and what it takes to get to the next step which in my mind is a top 4 seed in the NCAA.

I hope Trinity can be a contributor next season as she has been through so much.

I put my faith in both Cook and Williams that they know what they are doing.

When they signed Maggie Mendelson Amy said after she graduated she would come to Nebraska and work out with the WBB team until fall practice started for WVB and the be with that program until the season was finished. She would take a little time off and then rejoin the WBB program. Sounds workable to me.

Every year is different. Just add a couple of building blocks each year and we will continue the upward climb. This season we added 3 big ones all being underclassmen.

That's right now that I think of it. Wanted to be closer to home and play professionally over there.

Hopefully after the tournament there should be announcements about who will be coming back and who isn't as well as coaching search update.

It should be a pretty attractive job from any angle. Pay, team youth and chemistry, facilities etc.

At Indiana I think Patberg and Cardo-Hillary have used up all eligibility but Grace Berger and Aleksa Gulbe could come back because of the extra year all got. Rutgers loses a lot.

As we can now see the importance of a top four seed in the Big Ten Tournament and a top 16 seed in the NCAA. How nice would it be to play the first two rounds in Pinnacle.

I saw that as well and figured she may be back but what a long journey.

It's a big opportunity for Amy to add someone that can help get to the next level. By now she pretty well knows what the Big Ten is all about especially in recruiting and skill development. I see her adding some one who is proven but on the way up and spending some time here before moving on to a head coaching job.

Iowa would have to get past Northwestern first which is a team they have had a lot of problems with.

Great finish. If Mich and Maryland each could have made up their missing games we could have had a 4 way tie for the regular season title.

Sometimes a cleansing can do wonders.
