  1. First, make sure you click on the full offer list. Second, Rivals doesn't list Memphis, which also offered. Beating out P5 schools including West Virginia, KSU and Minnesota, not to mention Memphis and Wichita State ... that's pretty good company, right there.
  2. For what it's worth ... 247 Sports Crystal Ball is predicting 100% probability Jeriah Horne commits to the Huskers. http://247sports.com/Player/Jeriah-Horne-82239 It's no guarantee, but I like those odds.
  3. Unless Coach Stephens is wearing heels or something is going on with the photography, Kathleen is not 5'9" as listed Those eyebrows aren't real are they? How many tweezers do you suppose he goes through in a year? He's probably like 1 week of non-plucking away from a unibrow. At all times. How'd you like that hanging over your head? On the other hand, as far as Kathleen, she sure "cleans up well" as we used to say.
  4. It's his 1st year in America, that's probably why he hasn't been on everyone's radar. Bruno is from Angola, Africa. "1st year in America" from Angola might raise some eligibility concerns. Would this be a foreigner schnapps-thing too? Or is that limited to Jucos? He's young enough to be a 2017 recruit but he's already a physical specimen. If what you're looking for is a rebounding shot blocker/rim protector, he's the complete package. You're probably not going to try to dump passes down to him in the low blocks so that he can go to work with his back to the basket, but if you have a point who can penetrate and dish, he's certainly capable of catching the ball and dunking it.
  5. Sneed is a good pickup for the Wildcats. As long as he doesn't sway Jeriah to KSU, I'm glad Sneed went there and not to someone we actually play against. His other main option was Xavier. Was also considering Illinois. I think it would have been cool had Xavier gone to Xavier.
  6. This was the original start to Billy Joel's Piano Man It's 2:48 on Monday afternoon. Has he committed yet? 'Cause we're all in the mood for a verbal commit And he'd be a really good get.
  7. It's 2:48 on Monday afternoon. Has he committed yet? I'll check back in a few.
  8. If his mom's twitter feed (https://twitter.com/mspinkngreen93) is any indication, I'd like to think things look pretty good for us. She's retweeted all kinds of Robin Washut tweets about his visit and his opportunity to play with Isaiah Roby. And she's a Big Ten girl. She tweeted a "go Ohio State" comment with the hashtag #ThatisMyHometown. She re-tweeted some stuff following his KSU visit also, but not like what she re-tweeted after his NU visit. GBR!!!
  9. Burno jokes aside, this kid is taking a look at UCF. He's still apparently under the radar with coaches. But look what this guy has to say about him: http://ontheradarhoops.com/otrhoopsreport-big-potential-sept-8-2015/
  10. So, it's about 10:28 on Monday morning following his visit. Do we have a commit yet? I'll check back in a few.
  11. Not seeing the week-to-week improvement I'd hoped would materialize.
  12. sure does look like it, doesn't it? With those genetics, I could see him growing a few more inches. He sure looks taller than 6'7" if Miles is the 6 foot or 6'1" I thought he was supposed to be. Got my fingers crossed on this one.
  13. Yep. They're uniforms. Now let's go play some big red basketball.
  14. Guys, all this bickering about who pays for what hotel room is pushing us ever closer to 20 pages in this thread. You're getting me worried here. We only have 16 pages to spare here, and that's cutting it to a razor-thin margin. Just, y'know, sayin'.
  15. No link. I just thought it was being discussed along with changing the shot clock. But I hadn't heard anything about it and was wondering what's come of the discussion.
  16. At one point in time there was talk about moving the three-point line further back. Has that now become a dead issue? I haven't heard anything about it recently.
  17. So you're the big guy who sits in front of me? I had no idea. Gee, Silver, all you had to do was say "Hey, buddy, cut the F bombs." And I would have said, "Yeah? Eff you." And you would have said, "You wanna take it outside?" And I would have said, "Not really; you're bigger than me and you'll kick my ass." And you would have said, "Damn right. You're not as stupid as you look." And I would have said, "And you're not as smart as you look." And then you would have climbed over the seat and started wailing on me. And we'd both get thrown out but YOU'D be the one to get arrested. But then I wouldn't be dropping F bombs anymore -- at least not in the arena -- and everyone else in your section would be able to enjoy the rest of the game. On second thought, that might not be me sitting behind you. For one thing, I don't drop F bombs. At least not that YOU'D hear. For another, the guy who sits in front of me is a small dude -- he fits in one chair, so ...
  18. From a recruiting perspective, Missouri would probably be the best. Major population areas in St. Louis and KC. Kansas would probably kick our tails most of the time, so you don't want that. But getting attention of kids in and around the Show-Me state might pay some dividends. And the benefit for Missouri in playing us would be ... a. One more night per year that they don't have to kiss their cousin (not that there's anything wrong with that ... well, ok, yes there is.); b. Excursions north of the Mason-Dixon line are good for your IQ; c. Opportunity to maybe see a dentist and have their tooth cleaned; d. Hand-deliver fireworks to their best customers; e. Chance to stock up on Sudafed-D, Claritin-D and all the other -Ds; f. It's right on the way for hitch-hiking to Sturgis, with a 4-month layover at the People's City Mission. g. All of the above.
  19. Sad news for the college basketball world. And for the pro baseball world. And for sports fans everywhere. Yogi "It ain't over till it's over" Berra passed away yesterday. And now it's over. On this earth, anyway.
  20. Took Burno 50 days to leave the Huskers? Did he slip out the back, Jack? Make a new plan, Stan? "50 Days to Leave the Huskers"
  21. I've seen a lot of gnashing of teeth over our 1-2 record. Hey, it's unusual territory for us. I get that people find it disconcerting to be staring at a slate of tough games ahead and already being under .500. So, not a lot of room for error the rest of the way. I get that. And, Bo Pelini never lost more than 4 games in a season and never fewer than 9 wins? Is that correct? I wonder if he would have been able to sustain that record this year. For this poll, I took the 3 most recent non-conference losses. Two of these were in Coach Mike Riley's first year; the other was in Bo Pelini's 6th year. Which one of those three was worse than the others?
  22. So, the question basically is in which of the above three games did we suck the worst? Which game was worse? Feel free to explain your vote.
  23. Sounds like that's a good plan. The videos show she has real good basic skills, and is pretty agile, and versatile all over the court. Another 3 shooter from the 3 position (a Yori/Grace has mentioned) If it works out, it will take some pressure off the inside, and make the other defense have to cover more of the floor. Her height could be a huge advantage at the 3 slot. From other articles and posts indicate she hasen't played lots of higher level "club" play. May take some time to get up to the speed of college play. But great family history. Love those Kansas kids ! She had a nice clear out on her first bucket. Put her defender in the cheap seats. We call those the "Norm seats" here. Knocked her clean into Section 707, then?
