We lament not having Weidner, but OSU was without Jacy Sheldon. she was all B1G and honorable me tion all American last season. We would have been in really big trouble if Jacy played.

True. Regarding player development, he works specifically with the post players. (per Husker site bio)
Well he is not doing a very good job of developing Markowski.

34 minutes ago, Redhac said:The women's basketball performance at Rutgers was mostly horrific, in part to a head coach who does not know how to adjust, call effective timeouts,, or run an offense against a zone defense. The current offense of tossing the ball around the perimeter with it usually starting by going to the right side in many cases ending up with someone hucking up a three point prayer and lack of offensive rebounding after that (outrebounded 46 to 35 by Rutgers). Our 4's and 5's get too low to the basket when they do get a pass and rather than passing out to an open player, either get tied up or a turnover or put up a poorshot through a crowd. Players generally lack movement on offensiv or are not shot ready if they do get a screen. The team lacks 10-12 foot jump shot shooters (Weidner could) and people to drive the lane and possibly get fouled as well (Weidner could). Sam needs to do more on this (played 28 min against Rutgers0)and Shelley as well. The team if they play like they did against Rutgers, Creighton, Drake, or the overtime against Indiana. There are no pud teams to play in the Big Ten going forward, so the coaches and team need to suck it up with better plans and efforts!
Does anybody feel that losing coach Love has anything to do with the post play this season. The new post coach does not seem to be getting much improvement from the posts.

So I know Amy's salary is pretty nice would think if needed they could pay the balance. Also if she has a softball scholarship and she plays both would it not count against softball? Much like Maggie with volleyball and basketball.
Maggie Mendelson is on basketball scholarship

Kennadi Williams game reminds me of number 11

If she gets 50 percent tutition because of her mom would it make more sense to be on a softball scholarship since those only pay so much.
If you play basketball on a softball scholarship the scholarship will count against the basketball total.

she will be on BB scholarship just like mendelson is

Has anyone heard what Issie's injury is and how long will she be out?

Probably the Wyoming game as you mentioned. One week off after the Samford game and finals week with some practice and she should be hungry to get the bad taste of the extremely close loss to Oregon in VB out of her system. The rest of the VB returning players have to wait until next VB season.
I have always read that Mandelson would be taking 2-3 weeks between volleyball and basketball. So sometime between Christmas and New Years. She has been going hard since mid August. Bodies need some downtime.

couldn't watch the game live. i admit, didn't even search for a score during the early afternoon. late in the day, hit facebook and the first thing on the page was the husker pic and score. no lie, i did a double take.....a big double take.
watched the replay late after the facebook search. i have nothing at all against Brady and i really commend her for all she has gone through, but, i like starting Krull and having Moriarity off the bench much better. it was my preference all along.
uh, was this announcing duo one of the worst ever? wow. they may be just starting out, no idea........but, wow.
BTN+ announcers are generally college kids

Regarding our volleyball season, this post might be considered a sacrilege. But, I admit, the same thought crossed my mind.
Without Knuckles and possibly Hames, the volleyball teams chance of making Omaha are slim. But never count a John Cook team out.

Refs calling lots of fouls on us. Almost double AMCC total. Iss ie has three, Lex has three. Annika two.

This teams offense is offensive. But they play hard, so there is that

Yesterday Bella Cravens played 28 minutes for the TCU Hornfrogs getting 12 rebounds and 9 points along with 3 blocks
We are going to miss Bella's toughness way more than most of us thought we would. Without Sam and Bella we are soft.

I think that they built a really nice high school type gym.The funky Glass windows up high in the end zones gives them a nice home court advantage especially during day games. I have said this for years. Nebraska never plays well there. But we need to adjust to the hand that is dealt us. Also Connie Yori being an in game consultant really helps them also.
