Volleyball. Cook's resume speaks for itself. When Cook retires and if it is who I think it will be (DBK) then she should still be paid more than our WBB coach. Again her resume speaks for itself.
It's not So much The resume but What is the going rate for a coach in the P6 conferences. Women's BB coaches Get get paid lots more than volleyball coaches

I read where Williams will be on a softball scholarship.

Williams will be on a BB scholarship. If you play BB and another sport, you are on BB scholarship. Just like Mendelssohn was on a BB scholarship even though she was a volleyball player.

Allison is a tough s.o.b. she will add toughness for sure. That said, I'm not sure where we place expectations. Two major knee surgeries are tough on anyone; but especially tough on an athlete.
My expectation will not be high, as that is unfair to her. If anyone can thrive post two surgeries, it is her though.
Paige Bueckers of UCONN had knee surgeries on two different legs over two years and is an all American this year. I expect Weidner will be ok

Does anyone else think it’s ridiculous that the conference tournament CHAMPIONSHIP game is being played at 11:00 am on a Sunday morning? I mean, come on.
And on the morning we skip ahead one hour, no lessIt's called money and getting your championship game on a over the air network

They are as bad as the reffing.
My wife said the announcers mainly talked Maryland, no Nebraska. That's why I don't listen to announcers ever.

I don’t know since I haven’t seen any of the mentioned players play except a bit of video on Prince. But watch 10 minutes of any of our games against decent opposition and count the number of times we are completely beat one-on-one off the dribble. That number will be well into double digits.
And yet we have still won 21 games.

Here’s another complaint, but it has nothing to do with the team or refs. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, ANNOUNCERS NEED TO CALL THE GAME !!! They don’t even tell you who the foul was on half the time, and they’ve even said things incorrectly (one time claiming a foul was called on us even though there was no foul and we got the ball). They aren’t even watching the game!
That's why I quit listening to announcers year ago. There all bad including our own.

Generally When I see All of the comments about lack of athleticism and quickness I read it as we don't have enough black players. Would Prince, Williams and the twins from Millard West make us more athletic and quick.

I saw in Amie Just's column today that Kennedi has been in a walking boot the last three weeks. Doug Barada, her coach, said she is the toughest kid he ever coached in over 30 years of coaching. That's boys and girls. Also has the most heart of any he has coached. She will be a good addition to moms team.

I don't think I said that. You're the one who out of the blue brought up the refereeing thing. I'm not falling for it.
Out of the blue That's all people do on here is bitch about officiating

Win % of major conferences during March Madness.
ACC. 66%
Big East. 62%
Big 10. 61%
SEC. 60%
Big 12. 57%
Pac 12. 52%
So much for the theory that the B1G does not perform well in the tournament because of officiating.

Yeah. There were lots of reasons we lost. I didn't complain about having to play a road game, but that was certainly a factor. As was the fact that we were uncharacteristically off-the-mark in shooting last night, more or less team-wide.
I didn't see the point in complaining about playing on the road because that's how scheduling works. I didn't complain about our poor shooting because sometimes a team will have an off night. It just happens.
I did complain about officiating because that's a human factor within someone's control. Something that could be fixed by someone if they cared to do so. The coaches are going to work on fixing our shooting and our shot selection. The schedule will take care of whether we get to play our next game at home.
But absofuckinglutely no one is going to deal with the characteristically bad officiating in the Big Ten conference, because the conference protects the officials from being called out by coaches and players. They can suck and they're never going to hear about it. They have a monopoly and they don't have to be good.
We're not the only ones who complain about Big Ten refs, by the way. I've seen fans of other Big Ten programs declare that Big Ten officiating is a national embarrassment. From what I've seen, I can't argue that conclusion. And I worry about what will happen when league teams have to adjust to refs from other conferences when they play in the NCAA tourney.
Every conference thinks that their refs are the worst

NBA minimum is $1.1 million, although that wouldn't be for a 1st rounder. I'll bet Kentucky could match that if it was somebody they really wanted.
Caitlin Clark could earn NIL to match the WNBA's top salary of $250,000.
But Clark will get endorsements equaling or greater than NIL plus $250,000.
